"Aren't you even going to ask me what happened?"

I was grabbing some snacks from the rack when Alex reached up from behind me. We were in a grocery store that afternoon, I was planning to buy some stuff for the hang out session later. Lucky for me I didn't have to drive since the grocery store was just right in front of Alex's apartment. I glanced at him for a second before I went back to the snacks. "What happened?"

"Camila," He took a few steps behind me when I started pushing the trolley ahead. "You said you heard everything. How much was it?"

I quickly turned around to look at him in the face. "How much do I need to hear?"

He kept his mouth shut, his jaw tightened. I sighed as I went to grab another snack. "I don't know what have you been keeping for me, Alex. But it's probably not your fault," I let out a small laughter, sounded more like a sarcasm to my own ears. "I didn't expect it at all when I found out my own dad trapped me in everything. My sister, who've fooled me into believing that she finally accepted me in her life. My mom, who didn't even say a single thing to me. How could I have been so fucking stupid-"

"Okay, that's enough," He reached for my hand and held it in his palms. "It's not your fault, alright? Your dad.. he's not either. He just want the best for you and I'm not even half of what he expected."

"No fucking way," I furrowed my brows at him before I pulled my hands away from him angrily and pushed the trolley away. "I've had enough of everything, Alex. Let me just go with the flow and see what happened."

"What if something bad happened?"

My brows furrowed, I looked at him in question. "Bad things happened, you know. You just suck it up and deal with it."

"You'd risk everything you have?"

"What do I have?" I threw my hands up in the air, sighing. "Can we just forget about this already? We're on a shopping for later, please don't ruin this for me." I shook my head and then pushed the trolley away towards the counter. After I paid for all the stuff I got, I left the grocery store and went back to the apartment.

------------

"Are you sure you're okay?"

Yuree asked me for about the fourth time and again, I nodded my head, though my heartbeat started to go crazy. I wasn't afraid or nervous. I was worried because I didn't know if I could keep my anger away when I looked at her; the person who pretended to be nice while stabbing me from behind my back.

When I left the grocery store earlier and Alex had followed me until we reached his apartment, we were in silence for as long as I could remember. It was like a living nightmare I'd always scared of having; Alex and I, stopped communicating. I decided to let Alex had his time and drove Lauren's car back to my house so that I could give the car back to her, while Yuree drove her mom's truck so we both could go straight towards our place tonight.

After I'd ring the fourth bell, the automatic gate split opened and Lauren came out to greet my views. She registered a surprise look on her face as she looked at me and her car, then smiled innocently. If I didn't find out about their betrayal, I would've had believed the smile she gave.

"Oh hey, Camz," she walked towards me slowly and reached out her arms for a hug but I quickly took a steps back. "Hey, you're good? What's up?"

I handed her the keys to her car. "I just wanna give you this. Thanks for the ride."

Before I could turn around and walk away, she grabbed my hand and pulled me over.  "What's wrong? Why do you look like you hate me? And why is that girl staring at me like that?"
