“Here is something you can wear,” He handed me a big white shirt. “Go change, take a bath or whatever. Make yourself comfortable, okay?”
I nodded, unable to speak after what had happened that night.
As the warm water hit my skin, I closed my eyes, my mind wandered around. Why did he live here, in a place like this? Why hadn’t he tell me something? Why was everyone seemed to avoid any questions about him?
I felt like Alex had a lot of things that he didn’t tell me, and I really wanted to know. I wasn’t noisy, I was just curious, because I wanted to know Alex for who he is, no matter what his background was. But he seemed to be hiding a lot and that bugged me.
After the shower, I wore his shirt that was too big for my size it literally looked like I was wearing a knee-length dress. I got out from the shower, hair wrapped in a towel. Alex was on the couch, typing something on his phone and only looked up when he saw me approaching. “Do you want anything? I can cook for you.”
I shook my head, looking down on the maroon carpet.
"Do you wanna go home? I can send you there.”
“N-no..,” I spoke, for the first time since that night. “Do you mind if I.. have a night here?”
He stared at me for quite a moment, and nodded. “I don’t.”
“Thanks.”
“Camila,” He let out a sigh. “What were you doing back there? What are you doing in this place?”
I wanted to tell him everything, yet I said nothing. I was really tired, my mind barely could process everything I wanted to say. At last, Alex sighed. He got up, grabbed my arms and led me to a bedroom. “You need to sleep, get as much rest as you can.”
I stared at the medium-sized room, then turned to Alex. “Where are you going to sleep?”
He smiled. “I’ll be fine on the couch. Now off you go, princess.”
I really didn’t understand him at all. First he looked like he could’ve snapped my neck into pieces but now he smiled and called me princess?
I sighed and shook my head. As soon as I hit the comfortable bed, it didn’t take long for me to drifted off to sleep.

I opened my eyes slowly, blinking a few times. My head hurt so bad, I felt like the room was spinning. As I managed to rolled over the bed, I groaned when the sun poked my eyes through the windows. I got up, tightening the jacket around me and looked around.
As I heard someone was muttering without clearly hearing what they were saying, I walked slowly and made my way out of the room. The outside was a medium-sized living room, with a couch, a small TV and a small table with papers and coffee-stained on top of it. I stopped myself on my way halfway through and listened to the muttering.
"... this. What the fuck were you thinking?"
That was clearly belonged to Alex's, his voice was easy to recognized.
Then someone mumbled from behind the door, I assumed was a guy, but I didn't really get to hear what he was talking about.
"So, what am I supposed to say? Thank you for trying to save her life by sending her to that place? For fuck sake, something could've happened to her if I wasn't there!" Alex yelled.
I'd never seen him that angry before, and it was quite scary. And if I wasn't mistaken, he talked about me, didn't he? But why? Who was trying to save my life?
