For a moment, I was only staring at my own reflection on the mirror, not hearing any possible sounds around me. The emerald green dress that I was supposed to try, only clutched tightly on my chest. The shining Swarovski on the chest would've gotten me excited if my mind hadn't been wander around.
Alex. Alex. Alex. For the sake of suffered saint in the pit of hell where have you been?
"Camila!"
Only when I heard the voice called me out did I snap out from my thoughts. I cleared my throat and pretended spinning around with the dress on my chest until Ally stood next to me. "What took you so long? And why the hell did the dress still not on you?"
"Um, well I was just debating on whether or not should I try this out," I said.
"And?" Ally raised her brows.
"And uh- I want something else," I faked a smile, pushing the dress towards Ally and made my way through the other rack of dresses. I heard Ally sighed and I grinned sheepishly. The next few hours had spent on finding my dress for the family dinner the next Thursday night. If it wasn't because of Ally and Dinah kept on telling me to find a new dress, I would've just taken any dresses I might have in the closet. I just didn't think a new dress would be that necessary.
"Earth to, Mila!" Ally once again snapped her finger in front of me, zoning me back in. "What is wrong with you, girl? Staring into space like that. It's freaky."
I shook my head, clearing everything on my mind and tried to focus on filling up my tummy. I just realized by now that I had just bought a burger after our finding-dress session and that I was really hungry. I grabbed the burger quickly.
"Ally's right. You've been distracted," Dinah added. "If you have any problem at all, share it with us, Mila."
I shook my head and just kept on eating. "By the way guys, are you sure you don't want to be with me for the dinner?"
Ally bit her lips. "I would love to, but I got extra dance class."
Dinah nodded her head. "Me too girl. But I have stuff in my family to be done."
I nodded and shrugged. "But you guys forced me to get a new dress."
Ally chuckled. "Of course! That's just an excuse. We actually just love shopping."
I rolled my eyes. "You don't say."
They all laughed and I smiled along. At least my friends were there with me, and that was great. I could forget about him for a while.

Thursday night had came, finally. Not that I was excited about it, it was more like I couldn't wait for it to be over. I was sitting on a small chair in front of my Vanity while Ally and Dinah applying some makeup and doing my hair.
I was just staring onto the mirror when suddenly my phone rang. I grBbed up the phone and looked at the caller. I picked it up. "Hey, Nancy."
"Hey, Camila! I just want to say once again, I really really am sorry that I can't go with you to the dinner. Urgh, babysitting sucks!"
I chuckled lightly, shaking my head. "It's alright, silly. We can have dinner another time, no problemo."
Nancy laughed on the other end. "I know, but I still feel bad."
