The night was much more sucks than Monday.

Seriously if I had the chance to choose Monday or the dinner, I would've chosen Monday.

The dinner was awkward, the atmosphere was quiet, no one really talked that much. The only sounds that I could hear was the piano playing from outside.

Then my mom put her fork down, wiped her mouth and cleared her throat. "Um, so, Austin, how are you doing in school?"

I kept on eating the sweet mashed potato without looking up.

"Um, school's great," He said. "I'm just currently busy with the graduation, coming soon, you know. Choosing colleges and stuff."

"Oh, that's very good. Where'd you choose to go after graduation?"

"Um, I don't know actually," He laughed nervously. "If anything though, I'd probably just go to Miami, or something."

"Oh, that's good!" Mom cried. "That's where Camila have been planning to go to. Didn't you, Camila?"

I looked up, smiling. "I don't know, Ma. Things changes. People do, too."

And the silence was awkward, util dad broke it. "Okay, so, who wants some more chocolate lava?"

I sighed in frustation. Everything just wasn't right. It was so frustrating that eveyone were pretending to be comfortable around each other, while the atmosphere felt like a deep dark hole, and it suffocated me. I got up, clutching my purse. "Excuse me, I need to go to the bathroom."

I didn't even wait for a respond to leave the room. Once I got outside, I released a relief sigh and walked straight towards the Exit door.

Bathroom, what?

All I wanted to do was to go home, lay down on my bed and maybe sleep. All of this family dinner time was fake, I had no idea why it even happened. I honestly just didn't get it.

Walking towards the Rover with tears streaming down both of my cheeks, Todd gave me a concerned look. I went inside the car and thank goodness, I hadn't even need to tell anything for Todd to started moving the car.

Looking out of the window, I took a deep breath and wiped my tears. I fished out my phone from my purse and dialled someone.

"Hey, Cam?" Nancy answered after a while.

"Um, hey, Nancy. I uh.. I was wondering if you can do me a favor?"

"Sure, anytime. What do you need?"

"You know Alex's friends? The group? Can you uh.. like, get their number? I mean, not all of them. Just, anyone from the group that I can call," By the time I said, I realized how stupid it sounded, but there wasn't much of a choices that I had.

"Uh.. sure? But for what? And are you okay? How's the dinner go?"

"It was cool, and I'm fine. I just um- you know what, just send me the number through message. Thanks, Nancy."

"Okay. You're welcome."

I ended the call, taking a deep breath.

"Where to, Ma'am?" Todd broke the silence.

I sighed. "Anywhere. Just, don't stop the car."

He nodded and went back to his drive.

Few minutes later, my phone beeped, telling me there was a new message. I quickly opened it.

Nancy

Here's the number. Are you sure you okay?

I ignored her question and quickly dialled the number she gave.
