By the time I woke up the next morning, mom came in my bedroom and sat on my bed. She was wearing a white loose dress and a smile on her face. She looked beautiful.

"Good morning," she said, grabbing my hands. "How are you today, sweety?"

"Good," I nodded my head, staring down on my bed. "Can I ask you something, ma?"

"Of course, mija. Anything."

"Why?" I looked her straight into her eyes, searching for any sincerity she had left in her. I knew I said I was going to give this moment a chance, but it was suspicious for my own good. There was something wrong going on, I felt it. "Why with all of this? Accepting me, and all?"

"What do you mean, honey? You're my daughter, no matter what you do, I love you, always."

"I know that, but-" I bit my lips, trying to put the perfect words. Honestly, I didn't think I can. So I changed the topic. "Lauren, she hated me for years. Last night she accepted me just like.. that?"

"Honey, can you promise me one thing?"

I watched as she gently caressed my hair. "Don't leave. No matter what happened. I really don't want to lose you anymore, my only daughter."

My heart broke at the sight of her that day. Everything came at me at the same time and I was suffocating. I didn't know if I could live without Alex, but I can't let my mom down either. And now I was regretting the decision of going back home last night. I was doing just fine without them.

"Can you please promise me?" Mom pleaded.

I took a deep breath before I decided,  "I can't promise, but I will try as much as I can."

Mom wasn't pleased with my decision, I could see it in her face, but she fought a smile. "Thank you."

I hugged her tightly and sobbed into her chest; letting all the emotions I'd been keeping out from my own cage.

"Now, don't cry, mija," Mom pulled me away slowly. "Breakfast is ready. Come down with me."

I grinned and nodded my head. Once mom left my bedroom, I got up from my bed and went into the bathroom.

Right after breakfast, dad came up with the idea to go to the amusement park. I was trying to call Alex, but he didn't answer any of my call so I just turned off my phone. At one point, I got frustrated. I just told myself that maybe he needed time, and that maybe, I did too.

"Are you going?" Lauren came up from behind me as I was putting my phone back in my pocket.

"Uh, yeah," I smiled and turned around. "They're all ready?"

Lauren nodded her head. "Yep, all ready. Waiting for you."

"Oh, sorry," I bit my lips and later followed Lauren's steps from behind. As I went downstairs, Ally and Dinah were sitting on the sofa. I literally ran towards them as my heart grew excited. "Oh my god, I miss you guys so much!"

"We've been missing you, Camila!" Ally said, grabbing my hand.

"How have you been?" Dinah asked, looking at me with a look that made my heart broke a little. They were the people who always had been there through my thick and thin. No matter how bad the situation is, they'd always be there. But I left them without news just like that- as if they weren't part of my life.

Maybe Yuree was right, after all. Maybe I was selfish. I made decisions that only helped me, without slightly think about those who'd been there for me.
