An open letter and two important announcements:

  Hi everyone!

  For those of you who don't know me, my username is _HakunaMatata_ and I go by Delilah Mae. I've been a part of the Wattpad community since I was thirteen, and now I have just passed my eighteenth birthday (speaking of birthdays, today is Harry's). Wattpad has been a big part of my life for all of my teenager years and it's also been an outlet where I can do what I love to do best: tell stories.

  Since my start on Wattpad, I have gotten a lot of amazing opportunities. For one, this is my THIRD time being a part of the Wattpad Block Party and I am always thankful for being a part of such an awesome community. I've reached milestones that I never would have dreamed would be a reality, like #1 in Teen and Fan Fiction, 50 million readers, and nearly 150,000 followers. I've been featured in an article on Sugarscape and now, I'm happy to announce that I am a part of the SNOW anthology that will be released in the spring. If you asked me five years ago if I thought I would ever be published, I probably would have laughed. It is all thanks to my supportive readers and community that I've been able to do these crazy things, so from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!

  If you haven't heard of the SNOW anthology yet, it is a series of short stories compiled into one book that all revolve around the same topic. The fabulous KellyAnneBlount started it all by bringing together an awesome team of writers to do this project and I cannot thank her enough for letting me be a part of it. My segment of the book is called "Seeing Him Again" and I'm super excited to finally be sharing some of it with you. Also, my awesome cover made by the seriously talented Lucyface is above.

  We sat together under the blanket, sipping our cocoa. Despite the bitter cold, everything about the moment was perfect. The moon was full, the snow-capped mountains were breathtaking, and there was an abundance of beautiful stars in the sky. Josh wrapped one arm around me, making me feel warm and secure. We took turns pointing out different constellations, although most of the ones he named were ones he made up.

  "Do you remember the night we went to that drive-in movie theater?" Josh asked, tucking a strand of loose hair back behind my ear.

My cheeks heated up. "It was a really bad movie."

  "So instead of watching it, we picked out different constellations we could see. This reminds me of that moment."

I shook my head. "I can't believe you still remember things like that. Now that you mention it, it does feel like it was yesterday."

  "Crazy how times change," he said.

I hummed in agreement, taking a sip of my hot cocoa. There was no denying that the old feelings I had for him were still there. It was as if we had never been apart.

"Do you ever wonder where we would be now if we hadn't broken up?" Josh asked.

  I could feel my face turning red again, and decided to not respond for fear of saying the wrong thing. We became silent, listening to the wind whipping through the trees. Snow fell from the sky and piled on the ground. I wanted to know what was on his mind. I wanted to know if he wished we hadn't broken up all those years ago.

"I think about it all the time," Josh said, breaking the silence. "I think about you and me all the time."

  It feels so crazy to be sharing that with you all, FINALLY! I worked really hard on my piece, as well as the rest of the writers did. I can't wait to be able to share the whole book with everyone and I hope you are just as excited about reading it! It's so unreal to me that something I've written is getting published, and I have an awesome group of writers doing this alongside me. Throughout this process I have met a lot of really talented writers and being a part of this has been an absolutely amazing experience. We are so excited to share the SNOW Anthology with you!

  A lot of people have been asking me about when I'll be updating in the future. I didn't do as much writing on Wattpad as I'd liked to 2016, but my goal for 2017 is to be writing weekly and be constantly posting so that my readers have new content to read. There are a lot of frequently asked questions that get posted on my page, so I thought I would take a bit of time to answer those here.

1) What happened to the sequel of Motel 6?

  Unfortunately, the sequel to Motel 6 was taken down this year. It was a tough decision to make, because I know many people were looking forward to a continuation, but I've decided that 2017 is going to be a year filled with writing new stories and expanding my horizons a little bit. I felt like I wanted to move on from writing about Motel 6, but I also understand that Niall and Avery's story does need a happy ending. With that being said, I'm hoping to release a small continuation in the future. This might not be any time soon, but it'll happen eventually.

2) When is Ready To Run going to be updated?

  Okay, first off, I KNOW I AM THE WORST AT UPDATING. I haven't updated anything on Wattpad since September and I know I am seriously slacking. Just know that Mia and Harry's story is going to be coming to a close soon, and I still care about them and that story very much. I'm really sorry to all of my R2R readers, but I promise you'll get an update on that story very shortly.

3) What have you been doing since September, since you haven't posted anything?

  Although I haven't been posting on Wattpad, I've definitely been doing a ton of writing. I took a lot of time with writing "Seeing Him Again" and after that took a short break. I started writing a few different books, and experimented with a lot of different genres until I found the one that I'm going to be pursuing. So, yes, that does mean that a new story will be posted very shortly. I have the first part of the book completely ready to go, I just have to clean some things up with the description and get a cover on it. So don't worry, something WILL be posted on my Wattpad page shortly. You guys are rock stars for sticking with me during my Wattpad posting drought.

  So, SPEAKING OF this new story, that leads me to my second exciting announcement. My new book will be called "Wherever You Go" and I thought it would be cool to use this post to also share a little part of that story with you all. So, without further ado, here is the smallest sneak peak in the world:

Once Harry reached her, he lightly touched her arm to get her attention. She spun around and instantly met his gaze. Her eyes only accentuated her beauty. He wanted to search them for hours, but as she raised her eyebrows, he realized she was awaiting him to speak. It was then that he uttered the words that he would remember for the rest of his life.

"Dance with me."
