Hi, my name is Perrie McPhee. A little over two weeks ago, I discovered I'm a necromancer. It was a bit of a rude awakening for me and for my great aunt who I accidentally brought back to life at her funeral. Oops. In my defense, I didn't know I was a necromancer at the time and therefore had no idea what I was doing. I still don't know what I'm doing half the time. It isn't like someone handed me a guidebook on my sixteenth birthday called A Modern Girl's Guide to Necromancy with helpful tips and tricks. That would've been nice. So, in an effort to prepare future necromancers, here is what I've learned about necromancy so far.
1. Always wear gloves. The last thing you want to do is bring someone back from the dead by accident. I know from experience.

2. The longer a person has been dead, the harder it is to bring him or her back to life. Also, be prepared for some intensely strong body odor. Bringing a rotting corpse back to life doesn't magically take the stink away.

3. People tend to freak out when you tell them they died and then you brought them back to life. I recommend giving them chocolate. Chocolate makes everything better.

4. Bringing someone back from the dead is a complicated process which often causes more trouble than it's worth and should definitely not be done on a whim. (My mom made me write this one).
5. Career opportunities for necromancers are fairly limited. Basically, you can either help the police investigate murders, team up with your friends to solve crimes, or use the legion of undead to conquer the world. Go ahead and guess which one I chose.
