If you are reading this brief analysis of the qualifications and comportments of a certified Happily Ever After Specialist i.e. Fairy Godmother, then you no doubt have an interest in taking up the highly rewarding and highly esteemed mantle of granting wishes to the more unfortunate members of the public.
When Happily Ever Afters are on the line, the International Council of Godmothers saw fit after centuries of mishandled magic, capricious spell-casters and some not-so-Happy Ever Afters, to set forth five major standards by which all Godmothers should conduct themselves in order to be certified by the Council. Any fairy wishing to achieve the aforementioned certification and the full casting rights of a Godmother should seek to represent themselves in the following ways:

1. A godmother must be selfless and put her godchildren before herself.
This is the first and most important standard for a Fairy Godmother, because while it is easy to become distracted by the fantastical and astounding wonders of the magic arts, magic is best used, best cast, in the service of others. In order to save magic from being mishandled, the International Council of Godmothers will only certify fairies who consistently put the happiness of their Godchildren before their own.

2. A godmother must be conscious of the greater good, and only grant wishes that will not harm it.
Magic is powerful and should therefore, be treated with great care. A fairy should always be wary of the fine line between what they are able to cast and what they should cast. As such, Fairies should be aware of both wishes and spells which could cause harm to the people around the wisher and those which would cause harm to the global economy. While we would love to grant riches and wealth to all of our godchildren, the influx of hard currency would cause massive inflation. And the discussion of wishes brings us to our third standard.
