Hey Wattpaders! It's China here with a little message. I've always believed in the power of women and being a feminist I wanted to write something that girls and boys cans relate to (because yes, boys can be feminists too). For my post today I'm showcasing a working summary and a sneak peek of project that that I've been working on that is near to my heart and I hope that you guys would want to read it when I come out with it!

"The Power of Feminist Product"
Fed up with the injustices that are committed against women and the growing number of women that are taken advantage of on her college campus. A sophomore college student takes initiative and creates a club called Feminine Product.
"This isn't one of those classes where you can come in late and not expect me to notice Mr. Anderson." Professor Mata said pausing her lecture to look at the late and possibly hangover offender that shuffled into the lecture hall.
He mumbled an apology on his way to his seat in the far back while the professor continued on passionate discussion about females of the early nineteenth century.
"We have women like these," she clicked on a previous slide with pictures of the trailblazers "who don't receive the credit that they are due. Instead they only get memorized in their obituaries and liner notes in various textbooks."
At the mention of the word 'textbooks' a fellow student, Rosie could only presume was a freshman, excitedly flipped his to the back hunting down their names in the glossary.
"Sadly, they aren't in this particular edition but when I first taught this class in 2012 they were. What do you think it shows as our progressive stance as a nation or even a state?"
"We aren't progressively moving forward."
"Women are under appreciated."
"California wants to save trees to shield us from the rain."
Rosie's eyes widened at that statement as others voiced their opinion through their heinous laughter. She had lived here for almost two years and had only seen it pour rain a couple of times.
Out of her three morning classes, this particular course 'Gender Studies' was her favorite class. Nestled in between an introduction to teaching and her least favorite class of the week physics, it was the bright spot to her day. The class atmosphere was strikingly different. Professor Mata taught the class like betters ran an auction allowing students to pitch in their own ideas which was how Rosie had always imagined running her high school class one day.
The slight change of cold front weather made her seven and a half minute bus ride from the nearest Starbucks to the lecture hall worthwhile as she had enough time to see another set of stories about the alleged sexual assault that had become a staple on campus. The only difference was the placement of the article-once proclaimed on the front page and been shifted to the Business section almost as it were another statistic blending into the stock market.
But Rosie knew it wasn't.
The sound of high heels connecting with wood of the staircase interrupted her train of thought as her professor neared. The class had thinned out leaving a few stragglers and herself.
"Do you have a question Mrs. Phan?"
It was now or wait for the next article to be printed before taking action. Plus the January fifteenth deadline was hastily approaching.
She pulled a piece of paper with the school's logo and mascot from her cluttered binder. She had picked up the flyer on a whim that morning, it had attracted her attention along with a few members of Student Organizations, Leadership and Engage committee waving their white banner and ringing the cowbell announcing the January deadline to get a proposal in.
"Yes Ma'am." She tucked away a piece of her black hair, suddenly shy at the oncoming question. "The deadline's coming up pretty quick and I've decided to make club here on campus. Can you be my first signatory?"
"The application is blank." She pointed out gesturing at the application her student had handed her. "Tell you what, how about you fill in the required information and tell me more about this club of yours tomorrow during my conference?"
"Will do." Rosalind said leaving the hall.
She had a tendency to word vomit and was already reprimanding herself from the commitment she had just made.
She chalked it up to the two cups of the Vanilla Bean Frappuccino she had drank this morning.
It was going to be an uphill battle fighting the urge to crash in physics.
