LaughandJoy Presents: The Devil's Playground

Hello fellow authors, readers, and people that are trying to get away from homework, welcome to my entry! Before I begin, I'd like to give a big thanks to Kelly Anne Blount for the hard work that she has put into organizing this month's Wattpad Block Party. She's absolutely amazing! I'd also like to thank her for having me on for the first time, I'm so honored to even have this opportunity.

Now, you're probably wondering, who is LaughandJoy? Well, to answer that question, it's me, but most of my readers call me Joy. I've been writing since I was in third grade, but I began to publish books on Wattpad when I was in seventh grade. I have, though, been on here for a few years now.

I have never been shy when it came to posting my writing. I have always been an outgoing child, no matter what I do. Wattpad is no different to me, but I've grown such a passion when it comes to writing on here!

Over the past couple of months, I have been working on a piece called The Devil's Playground. It's not the most creative title, but I promise you that it matches the story perfectly. This story is also a work in progress, but it's not in terrible shape so far for the first mold. This leads me to my entry, which is a chapter of the story as an attempt to hook you lovely people. Enjoy!

NOTE: If you've read my story before, this is one of my published chapters. If you're new and you don't want to read anything before actually reading the first chapters, then check out this blurb, read the book, then come back and join us!

~~~~~~~~~~~
Once the dramatic TV shows got too boring for the world, people pushed Hollywood away for the newest type of entertainment. The Game master's Course, aired live, was an obstacle course with a deadly twist to it. Not only were children from ages 15-25 only allowed to enter, but they had to use their luck and skills to survive through each obstacle and each other.
Katherine Parsons, an unlucky and unsuspecting tribute of the course, was only one out of many people that were put through the course with only their luck and fear. Join Kat's adventure through near death, heartbreaks, and secrets as she tries to survive through it, and still entertain the seven billion people watching.
Interested yet? Then here's a chapter to satisfy your need to read:
"Tilly!"
Should I had been screaming my lungs out while running to who knows where? Probably not. There were probably people with knives in their hands chasing me right then. I wasn't thinking about that, though. I should have, but I wasn't. I had other things that were more crucial to worry about than my life.
The image of the dainty girl running off of the path replayed in my mind. Not in the sixteen years had anyone ran off the path. It was unthinkable. Rumors said that they disintegrated into thin air. Others said that there were blades that would shred flesh and bones as easily as paper. There were many other suggestions, but they were all too terrifying and gruesome to even think about.
