i fell asleep in the midst of your spoken words, and, when i awoke before dawn even came to exist, i read over what you said.
and, in that moment, i regretted succumbing to the fatigue that constantly occupies my mind because i never wanted to leave you alone to suffocate yourself in your own thoughts and images.
but, you begged to differ when i apologized profusely because i felt relieved and overjoyed as if it were a blooming spring day with just a hint of the wisps of winds that tickle your cheeks till your smiles reach your eyes.
you told me that you had finally been able to sleep through the night, unchanging and serene like the tranquility of early morning. restlessness did not plague your dreams as they might have mine.
either way, it's safe to say that you're moving forward from this day to the next and who knows what will come your way.
all i ask is that it be kind and sweet as you are to those you meet for what you do is what you receive and what you receive is what you come to be.
and what you come to be will become your destiny, something even greater than what you once were back in your memories of history.
