although the sun rises each day, hope lingers from afar as if it were afraid to become your acquaintance.

when life is grey, despair takes its place. hope hides behind the shawls of light, taking shelter as despair wreaks havoc past the walls of shadow that persist in the horizon.

however, despair is not your enemy, nor is it your companion. rather, it's your sign. it pushes you back to a time where all that occupies your soul is a relentless sentiment of disappointment and consistent anguish, and, in that moment, you make your call.

you stumble and fall, but you'll move past it and continue on for you are resilient. despair knows that you are, and that is why it follows you, gliding by to remind you of what it is like to be alive.

when all of your being opens up and stretches out, accepting all of the unforgettable mistakes and striking executions that you've composed, you can see that hope may hide but it peeks out from behind.

your life is a composition of words, actions, emotions, and beliefs that only you can perceive, and, in the end, hope and despair, they are not alive.

you create them to survive for they teach you the difference between living and being alive, and, when you learn to comprehend what is yours and what is mine, you can finally live a life, your life.
