yesterday, i asked you amidst my blurred mind and cloudy skies if today would be sunny, if there was hope that there'd be a sign of the sun shining.
when you checked, you said it'd be windy but cloudy at best.
yet, now as i speak, the sun shines in the prettiest of ways. it isn't a mix of purples and reds against a blue canvas, but, rather, it's a flurry of clouds scattered across the sky. in between the spots, the sun sneaks.
it glows, and i smile because i feel happy. the hope for tomorrow still lives as things change, growing a little paler and worse for wear.
and, as we move forward, going separate paths that always seem to converge, i sit and wonder if you're smiling too, if you're happy too.
