the early evening sky
glows in a gentle yellow,
faint but still noticeable.

the clouds dress the sun's light
in a kinder tone, and its glow
fascinates all of life.

a gentle end to a gentle day,
happiness has slowly
made its way
to convey
its existence
in my darkened eyes.
