Chapter 6

Sophie

I feel a lot better, thanks to Pangilinan. Wait, I don't know his first name yet. Paano niya kaya ako nakilala? Hmm, oh well. Time check, 4:35 pm, I have to be home by 5. I still have to wait for Claui and Janina so that we'll all go home together. I was just fixing my bag then someone barged inside the lab.

"My goodness, Claui. Nakakagulat ka!", I said to her as I dropped my notebooks because of shock.

"Sorry na, girl! By the way, nakuha na ba ni Donny yung grade niya?", she asked while looking through the papers by the printer. Wait, Donny? Sino yun?

"Donny?", I asked, confused.

"Yup, Donny Pangilinan, to be exact. He goes to the same class with you kaya sa'yo ko muna pina-favor yung grade. Anyways, thank you ha? Bawi ako sa'yo.", Claui emphasized.

"Ohhh, Donny. Yeah.", I said, "Anyways, where's Janina? I want to go home na."

"Oh, right. She said that she'll pass by the bookstore first and 'di daw na muna siya sasabay sa atin.", Claui remarks.

After chatting for a while, we turned off all the computers and devices inside the lab and went straight out of the campus.

Donny

"So far, so good, Pangilinan. Pagbutihan mo pa. I can already see that you'll be a good team with our rookies.", Coach Leo said, very amused. Ayie, I'm so happy! "Okay team, starting next week, si kuya Donny niyo ang magha-handle sa inyo twing training. Clear? You're all dismissed.", Coach adds, with a chillax voice. We all thanked him for having us today.

My team mates and I went out of the campus together and talked about for next week's training. It didn't take a while since reminders lang naman and for sure, maaasahan naman sila. I bid my goodbyes with them as they separated ways to go home. I was waiting for kuya driver to fetch me and Claui. It was around 5 pm so I just dropped my bag on the ground and stood still, while using my phone.

"Yes naman, Mr. Star Player.", a voice said behind me with matching claps. Ang familiar ng boses. To see the one who just spoke, I turned around and saw him standing by the parking lot.

"Pare! 'Di ka nagsabi na nandito ka.", I ran into him and then we exchanged handshakes and bro hugs.

"You're upgrading, huh. 'Wag sana lumaki ang ulo.", he jokes, and we both laughed. 'Di pa rin talaga nagbabago si Josh.

"What brings you here nga pala?", I asked.

"Wala lang, napadaan lang.", he started looking around, then he noticed Claui and Sophie walking at the exit of the campus."Dons, teka lang ha. Babalikan kita."

I watched him as he immediately went to Sophie and Claui as they just went out of the building.

"Josh? Bakit nandito ka pa?" Sophie asked, with a straight face. What? He was here earlier? Kaya ba umiiyak si Sophie kanina?

"I just wanted to bring you home, just like the last time.", Josh said with a smile as he leaned forward to Sophie and hugged her tightly. Sophie went off guard as he wrapped his arms around her but she looked blank, filled with mixed emotions. Hurt, fear, despair and brokenness. Damn, she doesn't deserve that kind of feeling.

"Josh, tama na please. Ayoko na. Go home.", Sophie said as her eyes were starting to became glossy.

"No, Sophie. I won't go home unless na maging okay tayo. Please, pabalikin mo na ako sa buhay mo. Alam mo naman na di ko sinasadya yun, pagbigyan mo na ako." , Josh said as he begged while he tightened his grip on her.

"Tama na, Josh! Nasasaktan na ako! 'Di na ako makahinga!", Sophie yelled as she was struggling to get free but the more she struggles, the more of his grip become tighter. This is getting out of hand, I need to stop Josh.

I ran towards their direction and all I am hearing was the sound of Josh and Claui yelling at each other. Anak ng sh!t, hindi na nakakatuwa.

"Josh, tama na! Sinasaktan mo na si Sophie! 'Di mo ba nakikita? Bulag ka ba-", Claui shouted at Josh in anger, but was cut off by him saying, "Ano ba? Join ka? This has nothing to do with you, Claudia. If you won't shut up, baka gusto mong matamaan ng libro.", Josh shouted as he started to pick up Claui's textbook. Aba, pinsan ko pa huh.

Josh was about to hit Claui with her book, but he stopped at the moment I gripped on his arm. "Subukan mo, Sandoval. Magkalimutan tayo.", I warned him. "Pare, pinsan ko at best friend niya pa ginaganyan mo. Man up, dude.", and with that, Josh left the gates without anything else to say.

Hey fam!! What is uppp? I really apologize for not updating in weeks. School just ended sooo here's to more updates!! But I can't promise ya'll na I'll update every now and then kasi due to writer's block. :---( Btw, who went to Donny's m&g last 3-12??? If you did, congrats!!
