Chapter 10 - Part Two

Sophie

"Do you have a boyfriend, ate Sophie?"

I was shookedt with what Solana just asked me. Hmm, isn't she too young to ask about that kind of topic? Lol, I just shrugged it off since she just wanted to know and, hey, how can you resist her cuteness?!

"You look good together with kuya Don-", then she was attacked with tickles by her kuya. I don't know, bes. My heart started beating twice faster than it should when I heard that. Kids never lie, to be honest. Number one rule na tinuturo ng magulang 'yun sa mga bata.

Wow, Sophie. Bakit ang hilig mo kasi magbigay ng meaning sa mga bagay? Get a hold of yourself. But hey, I can't take off the smile on my face.

"Dito na po tayo, Sophie.", kuya Manny said as he stops the car in front of my house. I didn't notice kasi I was busy tickling Solana all the way home with Donny.

"Thank you po, kuya Manny!", I thanked him and grabbed my things before heading out of the car, then Donny opened the car door for me again.

"Goodbye, ate Sophie! Sabay ulit tayo together soon ah? Thank you!", Solana happily said to me while waving goodbye.

"Aw, I'd love to, baby. But, it's okay. Nakakahiya.", I responded.

"Don't be, Soph. Feel free to ride with us na everyday since same village lang naman tayo.", Donny said as his hand was resting by the handle of the car door, then I smiled at him. "Thank you, Donny.", I muttered.

"Wait lang, kuya Manny. Mga 5 minutes po.", Donny asked permission then slides the door closed as I went out of the van.

"Ako na, Donny. Kaya ko naman.", I told him as we were walking towards the gate of my house.

"Ako na.", then I let him. Why is he like this nga pala? Maybe he's just trying to help.

"By the way, are you free this Friday night?", he suddenly asked out of nowhere. For what? Why me?

Girl, rule #1 mo sa planner, Acads before Lakads.

"Uh, I'll see. For what tho?", I asked.

"Uhm, it's our batch's last party. Just wondering if you would like to come with me... and Claui.",

Wait, break muna tayo sa rules.

Hala, umasa ako na tayong dalawa lang..

Donny

My phone vibrated on my pocket then I checked to see a text message from Chris.

Chris Evangelista

"Bring some friends, bro!! Bring Claudia for me, Janina for Hans, then bring Sophie for you jk hahaha. See ya!"

I asked permission from kuya Manny for 5 minutes, I remember the party Chris and Hans told me about. I walked Sophie towards their gate while carrying her stuffs, then suddenly, I asked,

"By the way, are you free this Friday night?", it took about 3 seconds for her to respond, "Uh, I'll see. For what tho?"

"Uhm, it's our batch's last party. Just wondering if you would like to come with me... and Claui.", waw pahabol sa dulo, Dons. To be honest, gusto ko siya lang kasama ko. But I think na baka hindi siya sumama pag wala si Claui. Oh, well.

"That's very nice of you, Donny. But, why me?", she asks. Why you? Because..

Because I want to spend my last batch party with you.

DONS, BA'T KA GANYAN HUY. GISING.

I shook my head for a while then opened my mouth to speak, kaso naunahan ako ni Sophie.

"It's getting a little late na, your parents might be wondering where you guys are.", she says. Hala, wait 'di ko pa nasasagot tanong niya.

"Because.. I find you cool and you're fun to hang out with.", mejj mabilis yung pagkasabi ko, sana nainitindihan niya. "Plus, it's a sign of thank you for looking out on my little sister when I wasn't around.", I added.

"Hmm, I told you it wasn't a big deal." she giggles, "Sure, I'll go."

Uwi na ako, may nanalo na! Yeah, literally, I need to go home na, hinahanap na kami siguro nila Solana. #deadt

"Hey, baka napilitan ka lang ah? It's okay lang kahit na you won't -",

"No, I really want to go.", she started to get her things from me and I carefully gave it to her, "See you again tomorrow.", she flashed her last smile at me for today.

"Thank you! I can't wait.", I said, smirking. Then we bid each other goodbye.

Lumagpas pa ata ng 5 minutes yung pinaalam ko kay kuya Manny, I feel bad. I apologized to him as I went inside the van, but then kuya Manny said it's okay. Ako na bahala mag-explain mamaya kela Mom at Dad.

I looked at my left then saw Solana, sleeping soundly by the window. I slowly went near her and placed her head on my lap then I whispered, "If it wasn't for what happened earlier, never na ata kami ulit mag-uusap ni Sophie. Thank you, angel.", then I planted a kiss on her forehead.
