Chapter 28 - Part Two

Sophie

"Love, is everything is set na?", Donny called from the sala and I just finished double-checking my stuffs. My casual, semi-formal, and sleep wear; check, my undergarments and toiletries + essentials and necessities; check.

"Yes, love! Pababa na ako.", I responded, loud enough for him to hear me from upstairs. I then immediately grabbed this big arse gym bag and placed it on my shoulder and my pouch on my hand, then jogged downstairs.

"Teka, 'di ako na-inform na love pala tawagan natin.", I said while finger combing my hair. "Alam ko kasi dati crushie lang tawagan natin eh.", I added. Napaisip ako, 'di ko alam bakit. Donny carefully grabbed my stuffs from me and walked closer to me.

"Ang cute nga eh. Kasi crush lang kita noon, mahal na kita ngayon.", he whispered. Puta, nanghina ako.

"Corny mo!", I reacted.

"Sus, kinilig ka lang eh.", he started teasing me and I just can't help but laugh. Ang swerte ko sa kanya.

I turned off the breaker and all the electric outlets for safety before I lock the doors and gate since Mom will stay at the condo with Pops and Maui, all is well. I helped Donny arranged the bags at the back of the car.

"How about your things? Ayos na ba?", I asked. Dumiretso kasi kami agad sa bahay ko after meeting Dad at Sole, so baka hindi pa 'to nakakapag-ayos ng gamit kasi hinintay niya pa ako.

"I asked Benj to pack for me, I'll just double-check later.", he responded as he pulled me away to close the compartment and I just nodded. "Let's go?"

"Y-yeah. Tara-a n-na.", I was stuttering again, ugh. I haven't formally apologized to Hannah and Solana yet.

"What's up? Ba't parang kinakabahan ka?",

"Isn't it that Solana and Hannah are still nagtatampo sa akin for being talkshit?", I asked.

"No, no. You're not talkshit. They understand naman. Come on, they're waiting.", then he opened the door for me to enter before he did.

6:26 PM

"Ate Sophie! It has been a while, I missed you!", Hannah welcomed me inside and her contagious jolliness just affected me. We hugged each other for a few minutes then someone separated our hug between our limbs.

"How about me, ate Sophie? Don't you miss me too?", the little girl asked.

"Of course, I do. I missed you so much, Solana!", I knelt down and gave her a bear hug. This little girl is so precious, ang sarap iuwi.

"Look oh, Solana! Ate Sophie is wearing the necklace we chose for kuy.", Hannah said and I shushed her in all ways that I could. Hindi pa ata alam ni Tito Anthony and Tita Maricel.

"Hanoots! Quiet muna tayo, please?", I pleaded, I wanted it to be a surprise.

"Sorry, ats! Kahit 'di mo pa sinasabi, alam ko na.", Hannah winked at me and pulled me to the dining area.

"Good to know that you're joining us for the break, Sophie! It's sad that Michelle and Maui won't be able to join us.", Tita Maricel said, while we're having dinner.

"Why is Maui not with you, ats?", Benj spoke, making ate Ella and Hannah look at him.

"Theatre workshop! She doesn't want to make paawat.", I answered with a smirk.
