Chapter 14

Sophie

"Sophie, I know this is the first time na we met, I apologize for being so madaldal kanina, but I want to share something with you.", with what ate Ella said, my heart started beating faster. "Go on, ats.", I said, despite the fact na I'm super nervous but I'm still trying to chill.

"I think you heard naman what I said kanina, na it's been a while since Donny brought a girl home?", I nodded. "He never spoke to any girl besides his relatives after his first heartbreak, which made us feel so sad for him kasi that girl used to be his dose of happiness.", hmm, Danielle. "He made a rule here na to never talk about her kasi it'll hurt him. I don't know if up until now if it still has an affect on him.", ate Ella explained.

"Mom was surprised kasi may kasama ulit na girl si kuya Dons, and she was happy about it knowing that anak pa ng bestie niya dito sa village.", Hannah said while opening a bottle of Tropicana, then gave me an approving look with her eyebrows rising up and down. I didn't know what to feel or to say after hearing those words. "Uhm, why are you guys telling me this?", I asked them, I was really confused. "Because right now, we feel that you'll be the one to make him smile again.", ate Ella said as she held both of my hands and giving it a squeeze, with a smile.

Oh, Donny. How I wish you could feel my heart beating with just that the thought of you.

Donny

I just took a shower and wore my sleeping clothes then went back to Ella's room, where Sophie and my siblings are staying. The moment I entered the room, I overheard Solana saying, "Kuya Donny smiles so wide whenever I ask him about you, ate Max." which made me giggle. Wait, obvious na ba ako? Just a little crush lang naman eh.. "Oh really now, Solana?", I then attacked her with tickles again. "Kuya Benj! Heeelp! Ahihihihi!", she squeals, making us all laugh. "You're so madaldal, it's way past your bedtime na.", I pouted at her then she yawned. "Aw, someone's getting sleepy.", ate Ella said while ruffling Solana's hair. "Am not!", then she ran to Sophie's side then wrapped her arms around her. We stayed like this for an hour or two, we only finished one movie and isa isa sila umaalis ng room.

"My eyes hurt, good night fam.", Benj says as he yawned and walked out of the room.

"I'll be your mom for the weekend guys, haha goodnight.", ate Ella said while carrying Solana who's already asleep, then went to Solana's room.

"I don't want to look like a zombie anymore, sorry ate Max! I'll make bawi soon!", Hannah said as she hugged Sophie before going to bed. "It's alright, Hannah. Goodnight!", and it leaves me and Sophie alone. Again. Together. Then Sophie stood up din. "Iiwan mo din ako?", I asked her, jokingly. "Magbibihis lang ako, ano ba haha!", she said while grabbing her bag then I pointed where the bathroom is located.

Time check 12:41 am, "Okay, so what should we watch next?", Sophie asked, while adjusting her eyeglasses, "How about A Walk to Remember?", (disclaimer: my fave movie!!), I suggested then she giggled. "Ooh, game!", then we started watching. Before the movie started, she was seated at the other edge of the couch. "Soph, lapit ka. Tabi tayo.", I said while patting up the space. She went near me and our arms touched, that electric feeling. Can we just stay like this forever? This movie follows the rite of passage of a jaded, aimless high school senior (Shane West) who falls in love with a guileless young woman (Mandy Moore) he and his friends once scorned. The two develop a powerful and inspirational relationship in which they discover truths that take most people a lifetime to learn. (Source: wikipedia hihi) I haven't watched this one yet tho, but I'm glad I was able to watch it with Sophie. We watched in silence, but when it was the part when Mandy Moore found out that she was diagnosed with Leukemia (White Blood Cancer), Sophie started crying and I just laughed at her. "C'mon, dude. How come you're still able to laugh at a sad movie?", she asked. "Nothing, it's just that.. I find you cute.", I looked at her right after I said that, "Cute mo 'to, let's just watch! Ang ganda na ng story eh.", she playfully smacks my arm then she looks away, blushing.

Sophie

A Walk to Remember is the movie that always make me tear up, then Donny started laughing at me. Asar! "C'mon, dude. How come you're still able to laugh at a sad movie?", I asked, wiping my tears. "Nothing, it's just that.. I find you cute.", I looked at him right after he said that, "Cute mo 'to, let's just watch! Ang ganda na ng story eh.", I playfully smacked his arm then I looked away, blushing. Cute ko daw? Wala kang niloloko dito, huy. Weh, Sophie. Kinilig ka naman.

I started feeling sleepy na since it's around 1 am already, then I looked at Donny who's busy watching the movie, and hey, he's in tears too!

"Told you it's nice!", I said to him, and it's my turn to laugh. He rubs his eyes then stretched out his arms which fell slowly near my shoulder. "Cute mo din eh", I said, not aware na nasabi ko pala yun sa kanya. I yawned then I pulled the blanket closer to me and my eyes were slowly closing.

Donny

Teka, di ako na-inform na nakakaiyak nga yung movie. Okay, first time. Sophie laughed at me din kasi I looked like a fool. I rubbed my eyes then stretched out my arms which fell slowly near her shoulder."Cute mo din eh.", she said which made me grin. I felt something kinda heavy on my shoulder then I looked at my left and saw that Sophie's already asleep, I pulled her closer to my chest and wrapped my arms around her. "Good night, Sophie.", I stole a kiss on her forehead, then I rested my head on my knuckles, then fell asleep na din.

"Is there anyway that i could stay in your arms?", my thoughts started to play some lyrics and I just can't stop thinking about you, Sophie. "If you're not the one, then why does my soul feel glad today?"
