Chapter 17

Donny

So far, morning classes went good. It was lunch time when Chris, Hans, and I joined each other's company. "Pare, 'di mo naman sinabi sa amin na Miguel did something to you. Kami sana reresbak eh.", Hans said while picking on his fries. "Medyo busted pa labi mo, bro.", Chris said as he studied my face. "It's fine, guys. 'Di ko na din ramdam yung sakit.", I smirked. "Dude, parang ilang linggo pa yan gagaling eh.", Hans said, as if siya yung natamaan. Pero at least, he cares. HAHAHA. "Baka kaya hindi na sumasakit siguro kasi ginamot yan ni Sophie? Eh kayo magkasama magdamag nung gabing yun.", Chris started to tease me, then Hans joined. "Oo nga, Dons. Hinalikan ka ba niya kaya di na masakit?", I slapped him on the arm as they started laughing out their butts off. "Luh? Hindi noh! Grabe kayo sa akin. Dumaan muna kami sa house nila to get her stuffs kasi umalis si Mom and Dad kasama Mom niya, then she stayed sa amin this weekend. Tas ginamot niya muna ako bago umalis.", I explained, hay nako. "Ah, ganun ba? Akala kasi namin naghalikan na kayo eh.", I just rolled my eyes kahit tawa pa rin sila ng tawa. "Joke lang, Dons. Ano ka ba, hahaha!", Chris playfully punched me on the shoulder. "Yeah, whatever.", was the last thing I said.

Sophie

After morning classes, I went straight to my locker to return all the things I brought with me. The moment I opened my locker, someone slammed it close from behind. "Really, Sophie? How dare you do that to Miguel?", I was startled with what I just heard. "Woah, Danielle? Why were you not present this morning?", I was surprised, bawal mag halfday ah. Considered yun as cutting classes. "It's none of your business, Ms. President. Why did you do that to Miguel?", Danes was pissed off, but hey, I don't want to make a scene here. I just stayed silent then unlocked my locker again. But then, she did slammed it close again. "Ano ba? It's none of your business din.", I spat back. People started to watch us from where they are standing. Ano ba ulit ginawa ko kay Castillo? Ah, I kicked him there. "Urgh! Alam mo ba, because of what you did, hindi siya makakapag-training for a week or two?!", she raised her voice at me, ang sakit sa tenga my golly. "Serves him right after making someone get kicked out of this school!", I know wala na kami ni Josh, but still, I'm still mad pa rin sa nangyari. "And for invading my personal space! Wala rin siyang karapatan manapak ng isang taong wala namang ginagawa sa kanya.", I added. "Wow, just because of that, lalaban ka na? Ang childish ng dating mo, girl.", nanahimik na lang ako as I opened my locker tas nagmadali ako ipasok mga gamit ko. "Wow mo 'to, sino ka ba para tasaan ako ng boses? And, ano mo ba si Castillo?", I asked with my palaban na voice as I closed my locker, then I turned my back against her and started walking away. You need to stand up for yourself, don't let 'em bring you down. She didn't answer my question. "Because of you, nasapak din si Donny!", I was just walking then I was pushed to the lockers. "You're such a-", Danes was cut off by a deep and kind of threatening voice. "A what, Torres? Don't complain on a childish issue when you're the childish one yourself. Grow up, Danielle.", I was just looking down while resting my forehead on my hand then I was pulled by someone closer to him. 

Thank you, Donny. You got me again.

Donny

Chris, Hans, and I were walking towards our lockers, then we heard a girl yelling at another girl. My goodness, puro away. At first, I didn't mind. And then, may narinig kaming malakas na sound na parang may sumuntok sa locker. "Hey, isn't that Sophie?", Chris asked, which made me stop unlocking my locker. "Dude, si Sophie nga! Si Danes yung isa oh. Cat fight ba 'to?", Hans murmured. I ran towards their direction and I saw Sophie covering her face and Danes was enjoying looking at her. 

"You're such a-" , I cut her off because kung baka ano pa sabihin niya. "A what, Torres? Don't complain on a childish issue when you're the childish one yourself. Grow up, Danielle.", I overheard from the other students before I went near them. I placed my arm around Sophie and pulled her closer to me. "Donny! She's the reason why Miguel punched you! Let go of her, troublemaker lang 'yan mula first day!", she tried to pull Sophie from me but I backed her off with my other arm. "Wow, you're mad kanina because of what happened to Miguel. Tas ngayon, sa akin? Since when did you ever gave a damn about me?", I said with a forced laugh. "N-no, Donny. You don't understand. Let me bring Sophie first to the clinic, I didn't mean to-", she tried to help, but I didn't let her. "No, Danielle. After humiliating and pushing her? Tss. Don't bother us again.", with my last words, she quickly walked away.

I felt arms surrounded my waist with a squeeze, plus I heard soft sobs coming from Sophie. "Hey, sshh. She's gone na, it's okay.", I whispered as I placed my arms around her waist as well. "Let's go to the clinic muna, non stop yung flow ng blood sa temple mo.", I said to her as I wiped her tears then she just nodded. I took a glance on the half-wrecked locker due to Danielle's full force sa pagtulak kay Sophie. Damn, may blood stains din dun. As we entered the clinic, Sophie was immediately treated by the nurse and I was asked to wait nalang, then I did.

"How about you, Pangilinan? What happened to your mouth?", the nurse asked as she went back to counter. "Uhm, it's nothing. I can handle this myself.", I gave her a smirk. "Okay, okay.", then Sophie walked to the seats and sat beside me. "I'll be back, you kids go back to your classes na rin maya-maya ah?", Ms. Nurse said then we thanked her. And it was me and Sophie again alone together.

"Hey, as mentioned by Danielle, why do you hangout with a troublemaker like me?', she asked. "What troublemaker? You're not.", why is she asking me this? "Because, I've noticed that pag magkasama tayo, may e-epal.", she shrugs. "Bakit, gusto mo ba na tayong dalawa lang?", I teased to lighten up her mood. "Wow ah, seryoso ako dito tas mangt-trip ka? Gusto mo lalo lumaki labi mo?", she was annoyed, but still she laughed. "Ayaw ko nga, mas malakas nga yung tama mo eh.", I paused, "..sa akin", I looked at her after saying my last words. "Stop fooling around, ayokong..", she states, "Ayokong ano, Sophie?", I asked, "Ayokong ma-late sa class, tara na.", I thought she was gonna say something else. But whatever, okay.

Okay, I'll stop fooling around. But hey, do you know that I'm in so deep and I don't know if I'm a fool falling for you?

Sophie

Donny accompanied me to the clinic because of my bloody temple thanks to Danielle. As we entered, the nurse treated my wound and bruise immediately. Then I asked Donny something, kasi parang may minamalas talaga sa aming dalawa pag magkasama kami. "Bakit, gusto mo ba na tayong dalawa lang?", he asked, pinipigil ko kilig ko kahit nang-aasar lang siya, Paano kung sabihin kong oo?  "Wow ah, seryoso ako dito tas mangt-trip ka? Gusto mo lalo lumaki labi mo?", naasar ako pero I laughed pa rin. "Ayaw ko nga, mas malakas nga yung tama mo eh.", he paused, "..sa akin", he looked at me after saying his last words. "Stop fooling around, ayokong..", I paused, "Ayaw mong ano, Sophie?", he asked, Ayokong kiligin, Donny. Malakas din tama mo sa akin. "Ayokong ma-late sa class, tara na.", I said as I stood up, then we went out of the clinic, then to our classroom.

Janina, Claui, I need you guys.

I can't explain what I'm feeling.

Claui, bakit ang lakas ng charms ng pinsan mo? He got my heart, don't know how he did it.
