IF YOU LEFT A COMMENT LAST CHAPTER, I'D LOOK HERE!!!!
Drea89019: You have no idea how happy I was when I saw that you had commented. Just the fact that you had cared enough to say something really meant a lot to me. Thank you :)
breathetolove: Gosh, you are awesome. I really hope you know that. You always give me a comment and really, I mean this sincerely, it has me doing a happy dance. Thank you for giving your opinion, even if it's just to say you liked it. Those comments always make my day :)
vivianl95: You are also total awesomeness. I love that you talk about the book itself and state your opinion on it. I never get tired of looking over your comments. They mean the world to me, trust me on that. I cannot thank you enough :D
watty12lover: I was surprised to see that you had commented, to be honest. And incredibly happy. I smiled from ear to ear (not literally cause that's creepy) when I saw that you had left a comment. And you're rooting for Sam too! Thank you!

“Here” Patrick put a pile of files on my desk. I sighed, drained and cried out. I detached myself from Sam's arms only moments before and I went back to work.
I guess I had to pick a new client.
“The boss is pretty pissed at you” he said conversationally. I narrowed my eyes at him, my temper raising it's head.
“So? It's ultimately my choice whether or not to take that case and I couldn't help her” I said as calmly as I could manage.
Patrick shrugged.
“You should've tried harder to help that woman. You are one of the best, aren't you? I wonder how you won that reputation if you can't help anyone” he said, ducking out of my office before I was forced to murder him. He was really obnoxious.
I sighed, looking at the huge pile littering my desk. This must be some sort of punishment from Mr. Jones. He knew that I always read through every case before deciding.
I had a lot work to do.

I was in a state of shock. The guilty case file sat in front of me, revealing the face that I was once terrified of.
It wasn't my mother. It wasn't even Walter.
No, it was someone completely different.
Ricky's face, stuck in a permanent grin because it was a photo, froze me right on the spot. Could it be mere coincidence that all these damn people showed up in my life again?
I didn't think so.
I ran away from them once before. Why are they coming back to haunt me?
“Hey, are you okay?” Dean's sweet voice snapped me out of a haze of memories, fraught with screaming and pleading.
He looked curiously onto my desk, seeing the source of my fear quite clearly. His face clouded with rage.
“You aren't going to see him again” he said. I said nothing, still staring into the face that could still strike terror into my heart.
“He can't hurt you again! I won't let him, I swear” Dean turned me to look at him, his eyes holding a determined gleam.
But it meant nothing. He wasn't able to protect me the time before. He couldn't save me.
With that thought, I started to trembled, scared that he would get to me again.
“You don't believe me, do you?” Dean sighed, running a hand through his hair, “And why should you? I've failed you in the time that you needed me the most”
