CHAPTER 9

Justin's POV:

We talked and waited for Fredo to finish his meal. Y/n offered to pay for all of us, but of course I didn't let that happen.

                "Don't worry, I got it. It's on me." I said and gave my credit card to the waiter before Fredo or y/n could say anything.

                “Thanks Justin. That was really nice of you." she said.

                "No problem." I said. "So what's the plan after this?"

                "My parents are visiting L.A. so imma head back to my crib." Fredo said.

                "What are they doing in L.A? Are you gonna take them anywhere?" y/n asked.

                "Yeah Wubbzy wants to go to Disneyland so we're going there tomorrow." Fredo said.

                "Sounds fun," I said.                                                                                                          

                "So the family's at your house right now?" y/n asked.

                "I think. Their flight landed an hour ago so yeah. Can you drop me off?" Fredo asked y/n. Y/n nodded.

The waiter returned my credit card and we headed out to the parking lot to the car. Y/n walked ahead of us and Fredo pulled me to the side to talk in private behind her.

                "How'd it go with y/n?" he asked.

                "Still just friends, bro," I said laughing. I knew that would disappoint him.

                He groaned. "But really. How'd it go?"

                "I told her what really happened and that everything was a big misunderstanding. And she completely understood. She admitted she was jealous but in the end it was all good." I explained.

                “You gotta love y/n for that.”

                “For what?”

                “She always gives people chances, and she’s so understanding and honest. She is always gonna be there for you when you need her to be. That’s why her boyfriend’s still around for so long,”

                “Oh. Have you met him?”

                “Who? Trey? Yeah a few times.”

                “What’s he like?”

                “Arrogant, and y/n spoils him too much. It’s stupid… but anyways… Why still just friends?"

                "I think she wants this whole situation with her boyfriend to clear before she starts dating again. She feels like she’s cheating on him even though she admitted he’s been an asshole to her."

                “She’s too nice for her own good."

Fredo got in the backseat this time and I got in the passengers. Y/n started driving off. 10 minutes later, Y/n pulled up at Fredo's driveway.

                "Thanks for the ride and lunch guys! See ya!" Fredo said and got out of the car.

                "Bye!" y/n and I said and drove off.
