y/n’s POV:

I was in the car with Cameron, who was driving me to the event. I am so excited. I received a text from Justin.

Justin: are u here yet

me: not yet. Why?

Justin: just wondering. See you soon

Justin’s POV:

I turned to Demi. We were backstage.

“Dude, what the hell are we gonna do?”

“We can’t have her and Harry see each other. That’ll just ruin the event for y/n. Maybe Harry performance will be messed up too.”

“Should we distract her out of the room during his performance?”

“How would we do that? We’re all busy.”

                “We can tell Cameron to.”

“Cameron?” Demi looked at me strangely.

                “He’ll understand. Probably.”

“Well… I guess we can try…” she shrugged. “I’ll call him for you. Go get set up. You’re on in 30 minutes.”

                I nodded and left.

Cameron’s POV:

My phone rang. With one hand on the steering wheel, I reached to my pants pocket. It was Demi.

                “Hello?” I answered.

                “Hey, are you here yet?”

                “Not yet.”

                “Is y/n there?”

“Yeah, she right next to me. Want to talk to her?”

                “No. Are you on speaker?”

                “No…”

“Good. Here’s the deal. Make sure y/n doesn’t know about this, ok?”

                “Ok.”

“y/n’s ex is Harry Styles, the curly haired guy from One Direction.”

                “Oh yeah. I know. I heard he’s a bitch.”

y/n turned to me from the passenger’s seat. “Who’s a bitch?”

“Nothing. Demi and I are talking about a… T-TV show… uh, character.” I said weakly.

“Nice save.” Demi said through the phone.

                “Thanks.” I said.

                “Anyways, he’s performing tonight.”

                “Really? Damn.”

“I know. We can’t let y/n see him or know that he’s here. It might ruin the event for her. I just need you to distract her during their performance. Take her outside or something. I don’t know, but just do something.”
