I woke up the next morning. Actually, it was the afternoon. I looked to my side, and Selena was gone. She must’ve left to work or something.

The first thing that was on my mind was to avenge y/n. I out of bed and took a shower and dressed myself.

I got out to my car. My stomach growled. I was hungry. Breakfast can wait though; doing this for y/n was more important to me.

I managed to find the hotel Harry was staying at. He’s supposed to get on a flight back to London today. I hope he hasn’t left yet.

I drove to the hotel. A valet parking attendant offered to take my car into valet parking. I got out of my car, and gave him my keys and rushed inside to the lobby. I asked the receptionist what room Harry was in. She told me, and I was up the elevator. I got to Harry’s room and knocked. I took deep breaths to channel my anger, like Demi advised. The door opened.

Harry was surprised to see me. “Justin? I didn’t expect you here,”

I couldn’t hold it in. I gave him a good punch across the face.

“Bloody hell!” he groaned, clutching his face. “I didn’t expect that either,”

“No shit. You’re clueless,” I said under my breath. I balled my fists to refrain from punching him again. If I did, I’d be causing a lot of attention.

                “W-what? Why are you here?”

“I wanna know why you broke up with y/n,”

Harry sighed. “It’s not easy for me to talk about—“

“Just. Fucking. Tell me.” I said sternly. He kept stalling.

Harry looked around the empty hallway. “Lower your voice, or even better, come in, won’t you?”

I thought about it, and stepped inside. He closed the door behind me. His room was very neat. His luggage was almost packed. It annoyed me at the sight of it.

                “So tell me,” I said.

“It just didn’t feel… real,” Harry muttered.

“Doesn’t feel real? I know y/n enough to know that she loved you more than words can describe! And you’re saying it’s not enough?!”

“Please calm down, and let me explain.” Harry said to me. He walked over to the teapot. “Tea?”

“No,” I answered. “Just get on with it.”

Harry sighed. “I know that y/n loves me, and I loved her very much. But I felt like she didn’t truly belong with me.”

“If she doesn’t belong with you, then who does she belong to?”

Harry hesitated, thinking of what to say. “I dunno.” he shrugged. “Something just told me that as much as I didn’t want to let her go, I was holding her back from being with the person she’s meant to be with,”

“How do you know who she’s meant to be with?”

                “Magic.”

                “Stop joking. This isn’t funny,”

“The point is… I broke up with her for her own good. I wanted to take our relationship to a more serious level. But once I sensed that she wasn’t meant to be with me, I had to stop before I went too far. I sacrificed my own happiness for hers. That’s the real truth. Now, are you still angry with me?”

I didn’t know what to say. To me, he did the right thing. “What if you’re wrong?”

                “Wrong about what?”

“About who she’s meant to be with. What if she was meant to be with you?”

“Then I’d kill myself on the spot if that happens to be true. I just think that she’d be better off with that unknown person than with me. I’d give the entire world to her if I could, really, but… yeah…”

                “Is this the entire truth?”

“All I can say. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got a flight to catch.” Harry said, taking his luggage in one hand.

“Um… have a good trip.” I said awkwardly. So he is a good guy.

“Thank you, Justin,” he said, opening the door. The was about to leave, but her glanced back at me. “And congratulations, you’ve won the game.”

I was confused. I ran out the room after him. He was already far along the hallway. “Game? What game?” I called after him.

“The game of love.” he said, and took a right and disappeared.

Game of love? What the hell was that supposed to mean?

LATER THAT NIGHT…

y/n’s POV:

I was lying on my bed, torturing myself by watching “The Notebook”. Justin came in my room. I didn’t expect to see him tonight.

“Heyyy…” he said, shaking my shoulder gently. “You ok?”

“No,” I frowned. I sniffed and held back the tears.

He looked at my TV screen and saw what I was watching. “Maybe watching this might not be the best idea right now…” he said, and turned off the movie.

“So you heard…” I said quietly. I was too weak to talk in my normal voice now since all of these thoughts came rushing back to my head.

                “Yeah, and I’m really sorry.”

                “It’s not your fault.”

“Why didn’t you tell me?” he asked, lying down next to me.

“I didn’t feel like talking to anyone. Demi and Max were the only exceptions because I live with them,”

“I understand,” Justin said genuinely. He looked behind him and picked up a grocery bag. He pulled out a box of chocolate chip cookies. “Look what I brought… Your favorite!” he said in a singsong voice.

I always smiled at a box of cookies. But this time I couldn’t. Justin noticed this too.

“Aw… come here,” he said, and pulled me into a hug. He realized the seriousness of this situation as I started to cry into his chest.

                “I’m sorry, I’m just so lost right now… I don’t know where I went wrong…” I weeped.

“Don’t worry about it. Everything’s gonna be alright…”
