I went downstairs and smelled food from the kitchen.
“Mmm…What smells so good?” I asked going into the kitchen. y/n was cooking.
“Dinner. Are you gonna stay for some?” she asked.
“I wish I could. But I have to head to the studio later.”
“Aw, that’s too bad. I made extra just in case too.” she said pouting at me. I smiled.
“C’mon, don’t give me that face.” I said holding her face. She pouted some more, then laughed. I smiled. “So, can I have it to-go?” I asked. She smiled and nodded.
“You’re the best.” I said and kissed her cheek. She giggled.
“I know.” she said.
“You know, Max and I were hanging out upstairs. He’s a pretty cool kid.”
“Yeah? It seemed like you guys were getting along pretty well.”
“Yeah, so we were talking and Max said he has a friend, but I kind of forgot his name… Hmm… was it Dustin or Justin?” I said pretending to think, then I smirked at her.
y/n gasped a little and turned around. “He told you that I called his friend Justin?!” she asked embarrassed. I laughed and nodded.
“Be right back, I’m gonna go kill him.” y/n said and began to leave.
“Wait!” I said pulling her hand back. “Don’t. I think it’s really cute.” I said smiling at her. “C’mon, smile for me. You know it’s adorable.”
“Whatever…” she blushed and gave a little smile.
She was too adorable, so I kissed her lips. She kissed back. I tried to slide my tongue into her mouth this time. She pulled away, though. She was giggling.
“Does the phrase ‘just friends’ mean anything to you?!” she said. I laughed.
“Nope.” I said blankly.
She rolled her eyes and smiled. “Typical.”
I smiled at her. “You know I can’t help it.” I said taking her hand and gently kissed it. She smiled.
We just stood there and looked into each other’s eyes. It was another one of those sentimental moments again.
y/n coughed and broke the silence. “Um…” she began awkwardly. “I’ll be right back, I’m gonna go get Max.” she breaking the silence. I nodded and sat down at the dinner table and waited.
y/n’s POV:
I went upstairs to get Max.
“Hey Max, dinner’s ready.” I said. He got off his bed and followed me downstairs. He sat down at the dinner table across from Justin, who was on the phone. I laid his plate of food down in front of him.
“Thanks, y/n.” he said and began eating.
Max’s POV:
Justin was talking to someone over the phone and y/n went back to the stove.
“Ow!” y/n cried.
Justin immediately stood up and looked over to y/n. “Hey man, I’ll call you back.” Justin said to the person on the phone and hung up and hurried over to y/n. “y/n, are you ok? What happened?”
I stayed in my seat and kept eating. I know, it sounds selfish, but oh well haha.
“I think I burned myself a little.” she said covering her arm with her hand painfully.
“Where? Lemme see.” Justin said stepping towards y/n.
But y/n took a step back from him. “It’s ok, it’s nothing.”
“y/n, lemme see.”
“Really Justin, I’m fine, I—“ she said but Justin uncovered her arm.
“That’s not little.” he said looking at her burn. He put a little pressure on it. y/n gasped in pain. “Sorry, did I hurt you?” he quickly responded. She nodded biting her lip.
Justin walked her to the sink and gently ran cold water down on her burn.
“Keep it running like that. Where’s your first aid kit?” he asked taking full responsibility of the moment.
She pointed to one of the cabinets. He opened it and took the kit out and dug through it and found the burn cream. He went over to y/n and gently rubbed the cream on her burn. He didn’t want to hurt her at all, and he was careful enough so he didn’t.
It was all quiet. Justin finished. “There...” he said softly.
“Thank you.” y/n said softly with a smile and kissed his cheek. I think Justin blushed a little.
Justin looked at me. I winked at him for getting that kiss. He laughed a little.
