After leaving Iris, Ethel decided to head over to her room, which was the bedroom on the second floor of the house. Soon after Iris was born they had made the house a bit bigger, seeing as it could previously only accommodate about 16 people. The house now had three levels and a bigger basement. They now fed only from willing victims, without killing them of course and from blood bags, while werewolves could hunt and eat wild deer and other animals. As Ethel walked up the stairs to her room she could sense Iris was now asleep, due to the bond they share being mother and daughter. "Steve." Ethel said as she walked into their room. Steve was sitting by the desk looking over some paperwork, most likely the new applicants who would like to live here. "Yes, sorry I know today was supposed to be our day off, but I just wanted to see where we would be placing everyone. How's Iris, I saw you two go into her room to talk?" Steve said as he put the papers to the side and walked over to the bed and patted a spot next to him for her to come sit. "She's found someone who she feels connected to and he's a werewolf." She said as she looked into his eyes to see his reaction. "So she found a mate? But how? She's still young! How hold is he, how does he look and are you sure he's a werewolf?" Steve began to throw questions at her as his mind began to race, thinking of everything at once. "Relax, relax. She hasn't met him yet. When we were walking back from town she sensed something and when she turned around she saw a wolf, a wolf who is most likely her mate, that is if he is a werewolf." Ethel said to calm him down, which it did. "Where is she?" Steve asked as he began walking towards the door. "She's in her room. Why?" Ethel asked as she sensed his obvious discomfort. "I sense someone else, someone unfamiliar..." Steve concentrated on the presence as he tried to find the exact location. "Someone else is with Iris!" Steve said as he rushed downstairs with Ethel following. Before Ethel could stop him he opened Iris's bedroom door and saw someone laying next to Iris on the floor.

Blaze immediately got up and began to growl at Steve and Ethel, with Iris behind him. "Blaze stop! These are my parents!" Iris said as she stood up and got in between Blaze and her parents before a fight could brake out. Blaze quickly stopped growling and looked apologetically at her parents as he spoke. "Sorry, I didn't mean to, I thought it was someone who was going to hurt her. We were in the woods and then all of a sudden we were here and the door swung open." Both Steve and Ethel were a bit confused now. "What do you mean you two were in the woods and then here?" Ethel asked while looking at both Blaze and Iris for a answer. "Well we were both in the woods. I somehow teleported us back to my room. I don't know how I did it." Iris answered and realization set in with Steve and Ethel as they realized what she had just said. "You can teleport Iris. You have my ability." Ethel said. Iris was about to talk but then there was a sudden scream coming from the kitchen and everyone rushed to go see what was going on in there. Everyone was surprised at what they saw on the table and Steve was about to try and kill it, but Ethel quickly jumped in and grabbed it. "What are you doing? We need to get rid of it. It could be dangerous." Steve said with a confused look on his face. "It's mine, you can't." Ethel said simply and it just confused everyone even more and she then began to explain. "Remember when we went to that forest and found a waterfall with a whole town behind it a few years ago Steve. This is the egg that Elora gave me before we left. It's hatched."
