Nagsitanguan ang board sa anyaya ni Ryker. In the end, hindi naapprove ang proposal niya. I don't know if it is my fault or what.
"That's really her forte! Every proposal she questions were always like this!" natatawang sabi ni Sky habang nasa opisina kami ni Ryker. Ezekiel's also here. Napagalaman kong barkada sila ni Ezekiel. What a small world!
"Disapproved! She's a perfectionist!" tawa ni Sky. Umirap ako sa kanila.
"Stop making me feel bad! I just want what's best for your company, Ryker." I said as a matter of fact.
"Thanks to you, I got to the top." tumawa naman kami. Ezekiel's looking at me intently. Naiilang ako na hindi ko maintindihan sa titig niya.
"Kayo! When did you start knowing each other?" tanong ni Sky. Ngumisi si Ezekiel sa tanong ni Sky. I don't want Ezekiel to speak about that. Ayokong sabihing ako ang pumunta sa kanya and proposed. I don't do those kind of things. I'm just really desperate that time.
"I would like Trish to answer that." Sinamaan ko ng tingin si Ezekiel. Ano nga bang sasabihin ko?!
"I offered him to be my supplier." Honest kong sagot. Nabalot ang buong kwarto ng tawanan. Inirapan ko sila.
"She doesn't do that!" tatawa tawa sila. Tinaasan ako ng kilay ni Ezekiel.
"Oo nga, I remembered the news! He is your partner doon sa party!" Nagtawanan silang lahat doon na akala mo joke to. Napairap ako.
"Never mo kong pinayagang maging partner mo doon tapos!" Hindi na tinuloy ni Ryker ang sinasabi niya at tumawa na lang. Napailing ako. Kita ko naman ang ngiti sa ilalim ng mga mata ni Ezekiel. Really, what's funny?!
"Let's have our lunch? Why don't you call Architect Laruega?" tumango si Sky sa sinabi ni Ryker.
Nagusap sila about their college days. Tumabi sakin si Ryker at umakbay. Napagalaman ko ngang sa states sila nag college. Yayaman ng mga gago.
Nginuso niya si Ezekiel at tumaas ang kilay. Natawa ako sa itsura niya.
"What?" Natatawa kong tanong.
"Did you hit that man already?" Tinaasan ko ng kilay si Ryker. This guy knows me too well!
"The fuck, Engineer?"
"He's exactly your type, tall, handsome and serious."
"What happened to you, Ryker? You're like a girl bestfriend! You are too nosy!" Tumawa sya sa sinabi ko. Baliw talaga to!
Bumukas ang pinto at nakita ko si Architect Laruega. Dirediretso siya kina Ezekiel at Sky na hindi man lang napansin ang presensya ko. Nagulat pa ko nung tumabi siya sa sofa kay Ezekiel. Pinatong ang isang kamay sa hita samantalagang nakapulupot naman ang isa sa braso. Wow, they're thay close?
"Where are we having our lunch, babe? I'm hungry!" Napatunganga ako sa kanila. Babe? What the f?
"I reserved at Italani's." Napalingon dito sa direksyon namin si Architect Laruega. Mula kay Ryker ay nalipat sa akin ang tingin niya. Nagulat pa sya nung makita ang presensya ko. I smirk at her face.
"Architect, I want you to meet Engineer Trish Adornado. The second largest stock holder of Viego II." Pagpapakilala sakin ni Ryker. Mula sa pagkakagulat ay nginitian niya ko. I know it's not a real one. Ngumiti naman ako sa kanya. Ano, naiinis ba sya dahil ginisa ko sya kanina? Well sorry if I'm too intelligent.
Naglahad siya ng kamay so I accepted it.
"Architect Rashel Laruega. I didn't know you. This is the first time you attended a meeting." Ngumiti siya sakin ng sarkastiko. Ngumiti naman ako pabalik ng matamis. I walked closer to them and sat beside Ezekiel. Dahil naiirita ako sa kanya, bibwisitin ko siya. Dumapo sa paningin niya sa balat naming nagkadikit ni Ezekiel. Ezekiel smirked and snaked his arm sa bewang ko. I feel small in his frame. Natigil yata ako sa paghinga.
