"Why didn't you tell me that you'll come earlier? Wala pa rito sila Marcus o si Sophia."

Naupo ako sa aking opisina habang stress na stress na kinakausap si Nathan. He took his seat in front of me and smiled.

"I want to say sorry, Trish." Kumunot ang noo ko sa unang bati niya. Sumandal ako sa inuupuan ko at binalikan siya ng tingin.

"I wanted to use you. To make Nina jealous."

Nalaglag ang panga ko sa sinabi niya. Naningkit ang mata ko inilingan siya.

"I can't believe you. That's horrible." I said. He just laughed and nodded.

"I know, I know. That's why I'm saying sorry. Nagpaaga talaga ako rito so I can unwind before my birthday pero natunugan ng media. Now they're here."

Sinamaan ko na lang siya ng tingin pero napabuntong hininga na rin. Nathanael is still my friend.

"Manager mo nasaan? Ano ulit pangalan niya? Madeline?" I asked. He shrugged his shoulders and stood up.

"She'll be here on the day of my party." Sagot niya.

"How about your friends? Christoff, Stephen, Xienna, Gary and Jayson?" Pagtatanong ko. Tumaas ang kilay niya sa tanong ko.

"Problema mo?" Panunungit ko. He laughed at my remark.

"Kabisado mo sila ah?" Nanunuya niyang tanong. I rolled my eyes and clicked the intercom.

"Rosa, please send Vanessa in." I told my secretary. Wala pang ilang minuto ay pumasok na si Vanessa at nanlaki ang mata niya nung makita si Nathan sa opisina ko.

I rolled my eyes. "Just give her a photo op. She's a fan."

Natawa si Vanessa habang si Nathan ay ngumiti ng hilaw.

Bigla akong nakaisip ng paraan. Or rather...panginis.

"I'll take your pictures!" Kinuha ko ang phone ni Vanessa na tumabi na kay Nathan. Gusto kong matawa kasi parang mahaharass si Nathan kay Vanessa.

"I can't believe you Nathan! Sikat ka na, you've been doing this for years so don't tell me hindi ka pa sanay." Pangaasar ko. Kumunot naman ang noo ni Vanessa sa inasal ko. Nathan glared at me which I laughed about.

"Vanessa, ikaw na munang bahala sa college friend ko ha? Make sure he isn't harassed by our employees and guests." Talagang nagulantang si Vanessa sa utos ko. I smirked and tapped Nathan's shoulders saka ko inabot ang phone kay Vanessa.

"Be good to him tho. Para makapag papicture ka rin kina Jayson." I laughed and went out.

Tuloy tuloy ako sa pagbaba papuntang lobby nung manlaki ang mata ko sa tumambad sakin. I felt some constricting pain in my chest and some familiar anger consumed my being.

Architect Laruega was there, kissing Ezekiel.

The cameras kept on flashing while Ezekiel is looking at me with widened eyes. I gave him my coldest stare and walked straightly.

"Security! Who the hell did give these media the permission to enter my resort?!" I don't know what has gotten to me and I shouted those. Naagaw ang atensyon ng karamihan at napatingin sakin. I swear I'm fuming mad right now!

Tarantang pumunta sa amin ang security gayun din si Rosa. I glared at everyone.

"Rosa! Be sure they'll be out of my resort this instant!"

"Y-Yes, Maam!"

Dali dali akong sumakay ng elevator papunta sa suite ko. I even saw Ezekiel running after me. Bahala siya sa buhay niya! Bakit hindi niya ituloy ang pakikipaglampungan doon kay Architect?!
