Jay had to go off to New York to attend a town hall meeting for his documentary on the story of Kalief Browder. He would be away from his babies for a few days, all four of them.

"Alright baby, I gotta head out now if I wait any longer imma be cutting it close."
Neither of them were happy about having to be away from each other.
"Okay, baby I love you" she poked her lips out for a kiss.
He kissed her "Love you too, Baby."
He crouched down to her stomach "Be good for mommy" he gave her belly a kiss too.
"Imma go to Blue's room and kiss her bye."
When he got to his daughter's room she was sleeping soundly he placed a kiss softly on her forehead "Bye baby."
She smiled in her sleep. After saying all his goodbyes he headed for the airport.

Beyoncé was lurking on Instagram later that day and saw Jay's photographer post a picture of him. She decided to repost it on her page. She couldn't help but agree with the shirt he had on, being a Jay Z groupie and all.

Bey and Blue had just finished eating dinner. Blue was asking to call her father.
"We can't right now baby, he's about to start his meeting, before bed we'll talk to daddy."
She sighed dramatically "Well, okay mommy."

As promised right before bed Bey called Jay so Blue could speak to him.
"How was your day lefty?"
"Good daddy I was sad when I didn't see you before school."
"I told you I was going to New York today lefty."
"I know I was still sad daddy."
"Aw, well daddy is sorry and he'll be home soon."
"Did you have fun on tv today?"
"I did have fun lefty, I think I did a good job telling Kalief's story."
"Good job daddy!"
"Thank you Blue."
"I wuv you daddy, I can't wait till you come home."
"Alright, get some sleep be good for mommy take care of the twins."
"Got it daddy I got it undor contwol."
Jay asked to speak to Beyoncé after he and Blue finished their conversation.
"Hey baby" she answered.
"Hi, how'd your day go?"
"Pretty peaceful."
"How you feeling?"
"Pretty good I didn't even get sick today.. I probably just jinxed myself."
He chuckled.
"You did so good at the town hall tonight, you got them folks together, that's my baby daddy!"
"I can't believe some of the shit that they said in there I tried to keep my cool though."
"Very well spoken and very sexy."
"Why, thank you."
"Got any pictures to send me from today?"
"I thought you might ask.. I even made you a collage" he sent her the pictures.

"Gahdamn" she said looking at the pictures he sent.
"Making me blush" he joked.
"Shut up."
He let out a big yawn.
"I know you've had a long day I'm gonna let you go."
"Now that I'm sitting down I feel it I'm about to be knocked out" he admitted.
"Goodnight."
"Goodnight I'll call you in the morning, love you."
"Love you too" she hung up.

The Next Night
Beyoncé was headed to her step father's birthday dinner. She took the short flight from Cali to Vegas where the dinner was held. Kelly, her husband Tim and Angie would be there too.

It was a good time. Of course Ms Tina couldn't help but pull out her phone to document the dinner for Instagram. Before boarding the plane again Beyoncé texted Jay to let him know they she was leaving.
