"Liv." Amanda spoke from my office door. I looked up, my glasses dropping to the tip of my nose.

"What's up, Amanda?" I questioned, and she walked over and sat down in front of me.

"Um, the police called from the hospital."

"What?" I breathed.

"Don't worry, it isn't the kids." She spoke, and I let out a sigh of relief, but I could still tell something was off.

"Amanda, what is happening?" I questioned.

"Kathy killed herself."

My body went numb, and I started to shake. I never thought Kathy would ever do that, especially since Dickie had died, and since her youngest, Madison, is only 6.

"I should get down there." I breathed, and she nodded.

"I'll come along."

---

Madison sat in the waiting from of the hospital, an officer sitting next to her. The little girl had blood on her clothes, and tears burned my eyes. She looked like all of the other Stabler kids.

"Madison, I'm Olivia Benson." I breathed, as I knelt down in front of her.

"Hi." She whimpered, as she rubbed her little red stained hand over her eyes.

"Sweetie, want to come with me and we can get you cleaned up?" I asked, and she shook her head.

"Not without Mommy." She replied, stubbornly.

"Madison, your Mommy would want you to come with me. I'm her friend." I replied, and she looked at me with hopeful eyes.

"When is she coming back?" She questioned, and my heart broke.

"I'll have to ask." I breathed.

---

I got Madison's hands and face cleaned of all the dry blood, then I managed to get her to come with Amanda and myself.

She fell asleep in the back of out Sedan, and I looked at Amanda.

"How do we tell Elliot? The kids?" I questioned.

"How we would tell anyone else that their love one is dead." Amanda sighed, and I shook my head.

"It's not the same, Amanda. I've known Kathy for years, and now she's dead." I mumbled.

"Something else must have happened. Did El do more to her than what was reported?" I questioned.

"We will have to question Elliot."

---

I laid Madison down in one of the bunks, and sat down on the one across from her, as I slowly worked on paper work.

"Olivia?" She questioned, and I quickly looked up.

"Sweetie, go back to bed." I breathed.

"I can't without my good night story from Mommy." She replied, and I swallowed hard.

"What do you want to hear?" I asked.

"I want Mommy!" She cried, sending tears into my eyes.

"Madison, your Mommy isn't here anymore." I breathed.

"Why not?!" She sobbed.

"Your Mommy is in heaven." I breathed, and she climbed from the bed, and ran towards the door. I quickly wrapped my arm around her waist. Her body squirmed against my arms, but I just held her close, until she gave up. She turned around and wrapped her arms around my neck as she sobbed.
