My doctor pushed back the day I was supposed to be released after seeing my brain scans. I had bleeding on my brain that was causing my major headache, blurry vision, and seizures. They wanted to keep me longer to ensure that either the bleeding would resolve itself or they'd have to do surgery to fix it.

"Can I at least go outside?" I asked as a nurse wrote down my vitals.

"Olivia, you aren't going outside," she replied with an amused smile. I sighed deeply and shifted around in my hospital bed.

"Can we make a deal?" I mused as she clicked her pen shut.

"Sure, let's say you have something to offer me," she replied.

"If I can't go outside, could my husband at least push me around the hospital? I'm tired of looking at that damn wall, and I'm going nuts," I replied.

"That isn't a deal, Olivia. What would I get in exchange?"

"I won't ask again, so I won't be as annoying," I replied with a small smile. She rolled her eyes before looking through the open door.

"I'll ask your doctor... Stay put and we will see what I can do."

"I really can't move, anyway!" I called as she left the room.

Elliot pushed my wheelchair through the halls of the hospital, as we both stayed silent. Eventually, he pushed me into a small garden area outside and sat beside me. His hand reached over and grabbed my good one before giving it a light squeeze.

"Liv, we need to talk," Elliot spoke, and I nodded slowly.

"I know, but I don't want to talk about it right now," I replied.

"How far along do you have to be to get a DNA test?" Elliot asked softly, to not disturb those sitting out here.

"About twenty weeks... Once they can tell us the sex of the baby. It's the safest," I choked out.

"Do you want to wait sixteen weeks?" Elliot asked. I shrugged slowly because I didn't know what I wanted.

In the end, I don't know if I can be a good mother to a baby that has Ike's blood flowing through its veins. I want another baby, but only if it is Elliot's child.

"Babe?" Elliot asked, as I slowly turned to look at him.

"I'm not going to get an abortion... However, if this baby is not yours, I don't want to keep it. I want to put it up for adoption because someone else can raise them without seeing their rapist's face," I replied quietly.

"I will support whatever decision you make, and if you decide to give this baby up for adoption... I'll hold your hand through that process."

After another week in the hospital, the bleeding would not go away. The hospital staff decided to do surgery since I was in a lot of pain and my vision was getting worse.

"I don't want another brain surgery," I spoke, as the doctor sat down with me and Elliot. He nodded slowly as he moved his stool closer to me.

"I know, but we must clean all the blood up. Too much pressure on your brain could cause serious defects and sometimes death..." He trailed off. I looked at Elliot with fear-filled eyes. He frowned deeply as he reached out and grabbed my hand before looking at the doctor.

"Is this surgery safe for her and her current condition?" Elliot asked.

"Yes, it is. She will only be under for an hour, and we do not believe it should hurt the baby," the doctor replied.

"You two will be fine," Elliot smiled weakly, his words shaking. I swallowed hard before looking back at my doctor.

"When?"

"Later tonight, so please take time to prepare yourself. Maybe even see your children," He replied, and I looked at Elliot and smiled.

"Can I see the kids?"

"Yeah, I'll go get them just for you."

---

While we were waiting for surgery, Elliot went home and took a nap before bringing the kids up with the help of Casey. Noah squealed my name as soon as they walked in, and he clung to me when placed on my lap.

"He has missed his momma so much," Casey smiled, as she stood back and watched.

"I missed him too, trust me. Em, c'mere," I spoke, as I reached out to my daughter. She looked at me nervously before stepping away from Elliot and walking to where I lay.

"I missed you," Emily whispered as I reached out and pushed the brown curls away from her face.

"I missed you too, baby. How has school been?"

"I haven't been in a while," Emily admitted, as I looked at my husband.

"Why not?" I asked him.

"It's been a hard several weeks... I didn't feel safe sending her to school or Noah to daycare, so they stayed at home with Lucy as we searched for you," Elliot frowned as he looked at our daughter.

"You are going back to school next week, okay?" I spoke, and my daughter's face brightened.

"Really? I miss my class!" She exclaimed. I smiled and went to reply, but a nurse came in and announced that it was time for surgery.

"I cannot wait to see you both when I wake up. I love you both so much," I spoke to my children, before hugging them both and covering their faces in kisses.

"Let's go wait in the hall so your parents can say goodbye," Casey spoke, as she took Noah back and grabbed Emily's hand.

"Why are they saying goodbye? Is Mommy not coming back?" Elliot asked as they walked from my room and Casey tried to figure out how to explain the situation to my daughter.

Elliot sat beside me and leaned close to kiss my lips.

"I'll see you in a few hours, okay? I'll be waiting for you," Elliot smiled.

"I'm scared," I admitted quietly.

"I know, but nothing will happen. You'll be back to annoy us in a few hours. Just think about Noah and Emily, and the little one growing in your belly," Elliot spoke, as he caressed my cheek.

"I love you, Stabler," I breathed.

"I love you too, Benson. Good luck."
