As soon as I opened my heart to Elliot, he broke it.

"Hello?" I questioned as I answered Elliot's phone so it wouldn't wake Gabe from his nap.

"Liv." A voice breathed, and I swallowed hard.

"Kathy, why are you calling El? He said you two were done." I frowned.

"Well, he's lying." She stated coldly, and I wanted to so badly believe that she was being a conniving bitch and was the one lying.

"Um, I'll get him." I whimpered. I carried the phone into the bathroom where Elliot was showering. I bit my lip hard before speaking.

"Elliot, you have a phone call." I chocked. He opened the shower curtain and looked at me, noticing the tears that were now falling freely down my cheeks.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"Talk to your girlfriend about that." I spat, before shoving the phone into his hand and storming out.

---

Elliot walked outside onto the back porch where I was sitting on the steps leading onto the grass, my fingers on my left hand gently running over the bloody knuckles on my right hand.

"Hey." He breathed, and I bit my lip.

"Going back to her, huh?" I questioned, as hot tears burned my eyes.

"Liv." He sighed, and I shook my head.

"I trusted you, Elliot, and this is how you repay me?" I whimpered.

"I couldn't just leave her behind, Liv. She's pregnant with my child." He breathed.

"So the children we have together don't matter?" I questioned, pain in my voice.

"They do matter, so stop being stupid." He spoke, anger growing in his voice.

"Doesn't sound like it." I frowned.

"Olivia, listen-" He started, but I stood up and pushed him hard, sending him stumbling backwards.

"I don't want to listen anymore!" I screamed. I ran my hands through my hair as tears ran freely down my cheeks.

"Liv-" He started again but I shook my head.

"I'm tired of being the last person on your mind! I want my husband back. I want the man who saved me from Will. The man who sat by my side after Ike kidnapped me. The man who helped me through the loss of my baby. My best friend. I want my partner back." I screamed, sending tears down his cheeks in the process.

"I'm sorry." He whimpered.

"You aren't, El. That is one of the many reasons why this isn't working." I admitted, and he nodded slowly, before running his hand over his face.

"I'll get a lawyer." He chocked.

"Okay." I said dryly.

"I have to get going. Um, Kathy needs me." He breathed, and I nodded slightly.

"Okay." I replied again. He frowned and stepped forward. He placed a soft kiss to my forehead, causing more tears to run down my cheeks.

This is the end of us. This is the end of the partnership we have had for years that has defined me. I'm the person I am today because of Elliot, no one else. He's been my rock, kept me strong the whole time I walked through hell, but then he has put me through hell too. I would be dead if it wasn't for him, but right now, I feel pretty damn dead. I feel like dying. Just like leaving the rest of the world behind so I can just remember what it was like before everything went to hell.
