"Kathy, do you think Momma will forgive me?" I heard Emily say, and those words woke me up.
"Yeah, she'll forgive you. She loves you too much not to." Kathy replied kindly. I sat up in bed, and stretched before climbing out and heading out.
"Momma!" Noah squealed when he saw me, and I wrapped my arms around him as he hugged my legs.
"Hey baby. How are you?" I asked as I lifted him up and he hugged my neck.
"Better now." He smiled and laid his head on my shoulder. I just shrugged this off and carried him into the kitchen, where Kathy and Emily were making what looked like dinner, and Serena was placed on Kathy's hip, happy as ever.
"Woah, what did you do to my kids?" I asked, and Kathy chuckled.
"They just need to talk and get some sleep, and as for Serena here, she just didn't like the tension." Kathy replied and I smiled.
"Thanks." I breathed and she nodded.
Even though I told Kathy to go home, but she insisted on staying until the kids were in bed.
"Alright, they are down for the count." I smiled as I closed the door to Noah's room.
"When are you going to tell them?" Kathy asked, and I looked at her with a confused look.
"Tell them what?" I replied. Kathy stood up and gave me a gentle smile.
"Now, listen and don't speak." She laughed and I nodded slowly.
"You are exhausted, pale, and overly emotional." Kathy spoke, and I nodded.
"Well, I'm guessing it's because I'm raising three kids without the help of their father right now." I replied quickly.
"Olivia, are you this clueless?" Kathy laughed, and I crossed my arms over my chest.
"Go home to your kids, Kathy." I replied quickly.
"I'll go, but you should know something." Kathy spoke as she stood and gathered her things.
"Tell me but leave." I replied quickly, and she just continued to smile.
She walked to the door and opened it while I went over, ready to close it.
"You're pregnant." She spoke and I waited to shut the door and I just stared at her.
"I'm what?" I breathed, and she gave me a gentle grin.
"He may be in jail, but you'll figure this out, you always do." She replied gently before leaving, and I stared forward, my mouth hung wide open.
"What the hell..." I trailed off.
---
I did end up hating Kathy for being right. I kept my secret, not wanting to tell the kids or Elliot, or frankly anyone until the stress of the trial eased.
"Alright, kids, Maureen is coming over to watch you three today." I spoke as I sat Serena down on the ground and she toddled over to the toys and started to play, while Emily and Noah listened to me.
"Why can't we come with you to court?" Emily asked, and I sighed.
"Sweets, today is the final arguments. We are going to see if Daddy is coming home today." I replied, and Emily nodded slowly. I didn't want to tell her that I was testifying today, something I really didn't want to do, since I can cry at split milk. I knew if I talked about it I would cry.
"He'll be coming home." Emily said bravely.
"Yeah, lets hope. Alright, here she is." I smiled and Emily jumped up and ran to answer the door.
