A/N: We're about halfway through! Also, I wanted to mention that there's homophobic language in this so just so you know :p

"Hey!" I turned around, not knowing where the voice had come from. I saw Brian standing there, propped against the wall, an evil grin on his face. "Hey, you."

I rolled my eyes, slamming my locker door closed.

"What do you want?"

He came closer and even though he was shorter than me, he was intimidating. But I didn't let it show, standing taller.

"I'll tell you what I want, Scott," he spit. "You are disgusting. I want you out of my team."

I laughed, surprised at how nonchalant I sounded.

"I'll be glad to leave."

"I know about your fag lifestyle," he continued, seemingly unimpressed by my answers.

I snorted. "Lifestyle? Are you even serious?"

"Shut up."

I wasn't scared anymore. He wanted to be superior to me but looking at this stupid excuse of a human I suddenly realized he wasn't anywhere close to me. I was amused by his utter stupidity and ridiculous thoughts. It was funny.

"I know about you and Mitch Grassi," he said out loud, making sure several people could hear it. But that was when I couldn't hold back my laughter anymore.

Brian looked confused, which made me laugh even more. "In case you didn't know," I said, still chuckling. "We're not exactly trying to hide it."

"W-what?"

"Yeah," I said, still amused. "You're right, Mitch and I are boyfriends. But you know what's the best thing about it?"

"What?" he challenged. "You get to fuck his-"

"There's nothing you can do about it," I interrupted. "No matter how much you hate the idea of two boys being all lovey with each other-" He made a face and I suppressed a laugh. "There's nothing you can do about it."

"Baby?" The familiar voice came from behind me and I turned around, my face lighting up when I saw my everything standing there. He looked slightly worried. "Is everything okay?" His eyes flashed between me and Brian and I nodded, leaning down to kiss Mitch's lips. He smiled before reciprocating the kiss and we both parted chuckling when Brian made a disgusted sound as if he was about to throw up.

"Got a problem?" Mitch asked, raising his eyebrows in a challenge. I loved this. He wasn't accepting the bullies, he was trying to fight them.

"You're gross," Brian just said before stomping away. I smiled at Mitch, pecking his lips again and putting an arm around him.

We went to the cafeteria and sat at our usual table, where Kirstie, Avi and Kevin were already sat. They smiled at us as we sat down.

"So," I ran my fingers through my hair and examined the slice of pizza on my plate before taking a bite. "Good news. I've been thrown out of the football team."

All four raised their eyebrows at me. "What? Why?"

I shrugged. "Brian hates me 'cause of my 'fag lifestyle' as he called it." I chuckled. "Funny enough I was thinking about quitting anyway. Ugh, I hate those people."

Mitch covered my hand with his. "He can't just throw you out of the team with that explanation, babe."

"I know. He'll probably make up a different excuse. But I wanted to quit anyway so that's fine with me."

"Asshole," Kevin commented. "You sure you're okay with it?"

"I mean, it's not that I'm okay with his explanation. But arguing won't bring me any further. I'm out of the team, that's what I wanted. Arguing would probably result in me not quitting." I shrugged again. "Guys, it's okay, really. Brian's an asshole, that's all."
