A/N: This is the second to last chapter :( However, there will probably be a sequel! I'm currently working on it but I wanna publish it once I know where it's going and right now it's still a mess of ideas so I can't tell when I'm going to publish it but there will be one hopefully in the future. Again, thank you so much for reading this story, it means so much <3  The last chapter will be published tomorrow, until then have this cute date chapter :P

"Are you ready?" I asked as I fixed my hair in the bathroom mirror.

"Yeah, I just need to put on my shoes!" Scott shouted from his bedroom, making me smile.

I was going to take him out to the chocolate bar today as a kind of going away party. It made me sad to think of it as that, as the last date we'll have before I'm going away for college, but we'll see each other in two weeks. And in two weeks we'll spend every day together until summer break would end and we'd have to start our freshman year of college - he in LA and I in San Francisco. I pushed the thoughts aside, checking myself in the mirror once more before turning around and heading into Scott's bedroom.

"Come on, baby," I said. "I made reservations for seven."

"I'm ready!" He kissed my cheek before he intertwined our fingers and led me downstairs and to my car. I insisted on driving since it had been my idea and I wanted to literally take him out so I got into the driver's seat and pulled out.

Scott played some music on his phone while we drove, making me get my mind off of everything for a while and I just enjoyed the moment, his mere presence combined with the soft music had such a calming effect on me.

"By the way..." I began, biting my lip. "How did you know I had a make up bag hidden in my bathroom?"

He chuckled, running his fingers through his hair.

"I guess I just know you well enough. And I also figured since you use chapstick a lot you might have a make up bag." He shrugged. Oh right, the chapstick. I actually hadn't used it in a while because it reminded me of us, earlier. Back when everything was still a little fucked up. But I shook the thoughts away, smiling.

"I can't believe you figured that out."

"I've never seen you wear make up though," he noted.

I shrugged. "I don't use it a lot, and when I do it's usually just concealer or foundation to cover up. I've also been experimenting with an eyebrow pencil recently but-" I laughed, "it didn't work out too well."

"I bet you looked hot."

I blushed, but didn't answer. We drove the rest of the way in silence.

"Hi, welcome to the Chocolate Bar, what can I get you?" The waitress asked with a blinding smile, holding a pen and a notepad, ready to write down our orders. I looked down at the menu again, checking if what I was about to say was the right order.

"I'd like the caramel chocolate pie with vanilla ice cream, please," I said and looked over at my boyfriend.

"I'd like the plain waffles with strawberry ice cream and hot chocolate sauce, please."

"Sure," the waitress said, giving us both a friendly smile and walked off.

"Thank you," Scott began, a sweet smile on his lips. "For taking me out, I mean."

I reached over to squeeze his palm, reciprocating his smile. "You don't need to thank me for a date, sweetheart. I love spending time with you."

I bit my lip, suddenly remembering the conversation we had in the car.
