chapter 29

Maddisons pov
After my mom and dad told me what happened to her at the gas station we sat around the house. Its been about three weeks since i had my full transition into being an adult. Its also been three weeks since my mom got pregnant. My mom said that this child is more of a human...she can feel it. Its weird. I sat on my moms couch and looked across the room to ratchet and dad.
"Dad?" i asked as he looked away from Ratchet to look at me. "Can we get a horse?" my moms head snapped towards me as soon as i said it.
"Why would you want a horse?" because i want to ride one...duh
"Because i want to show responsibility and i also want to own a horse so why not do both?" i asked
"Where did the idea of a horse for showing responsibility come into mind?" my dad questioned.
"Well maybe she just wants a horse...like she said...so basically this is her way of asking" his eyes glistened as he spoke. Ratchet.
"I guess your right...where the hell would you put a horse though?" my mom asked.
"Maybe the Lennox's wont mind putting a horse on there farm...just an idea." ratchet shared with us. I looked at his eyes and smiled as he looked back at me.
"I dont think thats a good idea...you are still very immature." my dad said. What?! Am not! How rude!
"I agree with your father you are pretty immature bu-"
"No, dont tell me im immature! You have no idea what i am, your never around and im tired of it! Both of you. Ratchet and i 'hang out' everyday because you guys my 'parents' are never around. So dont you ever day im immature, start acting like a normal freaking mom and maybe you will get to know me more!" i yelled at my parents. I had finally had enough. I pushed myself off of the couch and then walked to the hallway behind Ratchet. He tried to grab my shoulder and talk to me but i pulled out of his grip and ran down the hall. I ran inside a room and slammed the door shut. I locked it and slid down the wall. Tears formed in my eyes but i pushed them back, i will nkt cry, not now, not ever. I stood up and looked around. This must be my moms bedroom. There was a queen sized bed with dark purple sheets. The metal frame on her bed had dark brown strands of lights emitting a soft cream color onto her bed. There was a pile of clothes on the floor in the corner and another door in the other corner. I walked to it slowly and opened it. It was a bathroom but there was another door in the bathroom. It was hidden, well enough that any normal human would NEVER be able to find it but a child of a Prime...Never misses a beat.
"Maddison unlock the door. Please." my dads voice was soft and gentle. He wasnt mad. I didnt care, i was the one who was mad. I stepped forward shutting the bathroom door quietly. I stood behind the door.
"Maddison if you dont open this door i will. And not in a gentle way." my dad said. His tone of voice stayed the same. I shook my head and walked further into the bathroom, towards the door. I touched the handle and it shocked me. I shook my hand and reached for it again. BOOM. Shute! He is in here. I pushed past the electrifying pain and grabbed the handle throwing the door open. My eyes widened and i fell backwards, my eyes falling shut.

Ironhides pov
I knew immediately after she slammed the door that she would explore. I slammed my elbow in to the door and it flew down. My spark raced as i looked around for her. Thats when i noticed the bathroom door wasn't closed all the way. My spark stopped. I slowly walked towards it my spark picking up pace with each step. I cracked the door open and my spark dropped to my stomach. I briskly flung the door open and picked Maddison up off of the floor. The pull of my spark told me thatcthe hidden door in Alexis's room. No! No.no.no. NO! I ran out of the room with Maddie in my arms and called ratchet over to the couch where i set her down at.
"She opened the door!" i told Alexis as she stared down at her daughter with worried eyes.
"M-mom?" Maddies soft voice glazed over the room.
"Yes baby?" Alexis spoke.
"I-im sorry, im sor-ry i told you t-that you were a terrible mother...you really are a good mom, i u-understand that you work hard during the week and that your pregn-nant." Maddie spoke softly. But alexis already knew what Maddie was thinking. She told me before i went to get her.

"I could read her thoughts. She is just stressed...something is bugging her...she needs time...but we need to give her time anywhere other thank my 'room' take her to my actual room, not the fake one. Its too dangerous." Alexis spoke up immediately after we heard the door slam shut

As soon as i realized she opened the door i knew i had to help her now.
"Just How much of the cube sliver and the matrix did you encounter maddie? You too Ironhide?" ratchet asked us
"For me...enough to feel weak and feel the spark pull...for maddie...i have no idea." my words came out torn and slow. Alexis looked up and i could only have guessed what she saw. I was a mess, inside and out. My daughter truly spoke up and told us that we are never around and now she is beyond sick.
"D-dad...im sorry" maddison whispered. "Im sorry that I made you encounter such a powerful force...but im not sick. Im feeling better alrea-d-dy... I can hear him...he is a loud talker...he is in my head..."
"Who?" alexis asked loudly.
"P-primus" as soon as the name came out of her mouth my heart stopped...she wasnt hurt by the shard and the matrix...she was empowered by it...she is becoming a full Prime.

3 weeks later

Ratchets pov
Maddie was doing much better. She is most laid back and gentle now but thats all right. I love her more now than i ever have, but im telling you now that will definitely change tomorrow because i love her more and more each day.
"Hey bud!" maddies voice rang through my ears as she cascaded across the base to get to me. Oh did i mention that I love Maddison? Well I do!
"Hello beautiful." i said before delicately hugging her. "How was your prime duty today?" she groaned.
"Ugh! I just wanna take a nap!" when i said she was laid back and gentle i meant only when she is in service...when shes off duty she is a wild card you never know what you'll get. And thats part of the reasons why i love her.
