Before I fall (ironhide l.s)

Chapter 44

Alexis's pov
We were all sat in Maddison's room playing a game of UNO. Ironhide was sat next to me, but kept casting glances at Ratchet.
"What?" I asked staring at him with anxious optics.
"Huh-oh nothing, I'm just thinking" I slowly nodded trying to pick apart his lie.
"About?" I pushed. He looked into my optics for a split second then turned away almost instantly.
"Uh...nothing important" he mumbled, I crossed my arms.
"If it's nothing important you'd tell me" I raised one eyebrow and smirked. He turned to me. He reached his arm out, grabbing my face and kissing me gently.
"Alexis, it's nothing to worry about" he said before sitting normally again
and placing down a card. I looked at Ratchet, then shook my head.

A loud boom shook us all from our thoughts. The fire alarm went off throughout the base. I jumped up, throwing several cards in the air. I sprinted out of the room with Ironhide, Ratchet, and Maddison still in the room. I ran to the main hangar and looked around to figure out what was wrong. I saw the golden embers before I heard the piercing screams. I sprinted as fast as I could through the wall of flames. I narrowed my eyes to see through the smoke. I hissed in pain but ran from room to room. The screams had stopped and I knew that it was useless. I heard a scream back from where I came from, my eyes widened and I took off faster then ever before, my legs felt like they weren't connected to my body anymore. I got to the rooms of all the bots, most of the humans and Maddies room. The hallway was lit up with flames but not totally destroyed.
"EVERYONE OUT!" I screamed as loud as I could. I heard doors slam and people ran past me towards the exit of the base. I stopped at Maddies room, hers looked like it caught fire first, the door was in pieces, the roof had caved in and flames were on the outer parts of the wall. I threw several burning pieces of wood out of my way and sprinted through what was left of the door. I saw Ratchet helping Maddie and Ironhide was staring at nothing.
"You guys, we have to go...now" I gasped for air as I grabbed Hides shoulder and pushed him to get him to move. He didn't budge so I hit him. He seemed to get a small smirk and he looked down at me before laughing and hitting my shoulder sending me falling backwards. I groaned but rolled out of the way of a falling piece of wood. Hide tried to hit me again and I crawled in between his legs and stood up, sending him to the floor. I picked Maddie up and ordered Ratchet to get Hide. I sprinted down the hall and my mind snapped to my dad. I sprinted faster and busted through the doorway leading outside. I gently set Maddie down a short distance from the building before looking around and not noticing my dad. I narrowed my eyes and sprinted in again, I ran to my dads room and busted the door open with my shoulder like I did when I was younger. I looked into the smoke filled room and spotted my dad looking out the window. I ran to him.
"Dad!" I called and he turned, stopping me.
"Alexis, join me, join us, join the decepticons and end humanity as we know it" I gasped and my eyes widened
"WHAT?!" I growled lowly "let's go, now!" I yelled and grabbed his arm, but electricity shot out and I screamed.

"AHHHHH" I screamed shooting up in my bed. Ironhide flung up as well. He scanned me over and then, after seeing I was alright, hugged me.
"What was it?" He questioned, pulling me back a bit and brushing a strand of hair out of my face.
"I-i had a bad dream..." I mumbled wiping a tear away from my optic. I laid my head on his shoulder and gently nudged him I lay down. He obliged and laid down with me in his arms. I sighed and closed my eyes.
"I'm sorry love" he said and I looked up at him. He kissed my forehead and I smiled.
"You missed" he looked utterly shocked but smiled and pulled me up a bit and kissed me. I smiled into it. We pulled away and I nuzzled my face into his chest and sighed.
"I love you so much Alexis." He smiled widely and I smiled back.
"And I love you as well Ironhide" I said with a wide smile, before Kissing the tip of his nose, and laying my forehead on his. "Let's go back to sleep" I said before hugging him gently and laying back down, feeling his arms lace around my body and pull me in. I felt his gentle breath on my neck and my eyes slowly fell closed and I was asleep.
