Megan's POV:

UGH!

I hate today!

My birthday!

But...

My 18th birthday!

I know what your thinking 'what you talking about Megan? It's your 18th your going to be an adult, have fun and let loose'

Well...

I HATE my birthday!

Because it reminds me of that day...

The day I watched my farther kill my mother...

Than himself...

I was 3 years old and I watched my biological farther kill my biological mother right in front of me than he felt guilty so he killed himself.

I didn't understand then.

I still don't understand now.

Yup I'm adopted but their still my parents. They have raised me since I was 4.

I know you have a million questions so let me explain:

It was my 3rd birthday and I just came home from my mother picking me up from nursery and I ran up to my room to change for a tea party that I was having because when your 3 that's all you ever do.

But it was also I special party because my mother said a real Ballerina was going to come and visit me.

When I got changed and came down stairs all I heard was screaming and crying and yelling and arguing.

I know that it was them.

My mother and farther used to always fight but never in front of me.

I don't think they knew I was there but I saw every single second of it.

To the arguing to the police.

My farther shot my mother for apparently cheating but then he looked up and saw me and it went silent.

That's why I hate silence it reminds me of that moment.

His face fell and then there was that shot sound that made me waking up screaming every night after.

I didn't understand.

I didn't move.

I just stared with a blank emotion on my face.

I didn't know what to feel.

How was I supposed to feel?

I got put into an orphanage about a month after trying to get my family to take care of me.

I stayed there for about a year.

It wasn't that bad.

I had a few friends.

But not once did I talk.

I didn't talk for years.

Not until the day I met Beth.

I told you we automatically clicked.

Now you can't shut me up...

Than this couple came in and I entered their family.

Their warm loving family.

They had 2 older boys.

Adam,11 and Callum,8

They were amazing to me and helped me through school protected me and everything brothers should do.

They both live back in Hull and help me pay for uni now.

They both have wife's, children and jobs

There amazing big brothers.

And this family was everything I could of asked for.

I still remember that day like it was yesterday. I can still hear the gunshots go off.

I don't celebrate my birthday.

Never!

And I don't plan to change that...
