"Wow, I missed that." I say, walking into the dressing room, Sam behind me. "And they really shouldn't give you a quill."

"But I like my quill." I laugh and roll my eyes, sitting down and taking off my shoes. "Ouch."

"I've just been dancing a lot." She nods before cleaning up her station while I take the tape off of my toes and throw them out.

"Come on, bookworm." Justice says. "No book is good enough to get locked in a theater alone all night." I stand up, still reading and put my bag on my shoulder.

"You're gonna walk into a door." She says, shutting it.

"Hey, I lost my page."

"Should have folded it." Someone says.

"You nasty dog earring excuse of a human." I joke, though I hate when people do that. I start walking, tying to find my page.

"You're gonna walk into a door." Alex says, passing me in the hall.

"If I had a quarter for every time I have heard that and not walked into a door, I wouldn't need to work at all."

"I'm headed back to New York tomorrow."

"Oh. Have a safe flight."

"It was nice seeing you. I'll be around again. And Tommy."

"He scares me."

"He shouldn't. But I know you and your constant fear of anyone with an ounce of authority."

"Oh, not exactly. I'm just afraid if the human race in general. Even myself." That's why the only mirror I have is the small one in the bathroom. No one needs to hear that. "Good luck with the show. You'll do a great job with it."

"Thanks." He says. He's working on a new show that will come out in a while from now. I'm excited to know more about it sometime.

"You wanna get something to drink?" Amber asks.

"Underage." I say, not looking up.

"Fuck that. How about a coffee shop. But no coffee."

"I would say yes but you said no coffee."

"Coffee break!" Someone yells. I glance up from my book at my dance partner. "No?"

"I'm not caffeinated. I find nothing funny. I'm going home." Amber follows me down the hall.

"Have you always been like this with caffeine?"

"New meds."

"Oh. Wait, when did you start these?"

"This week."

"You didn't tell anyone. What if something happened to you?" I shrug, knowing it was a little dumb.

"Look, I have this." I turn my bag and grab a page out of my backpack, unfolding it as dhe waits for me. It has the medicines name, use, and warnings.

"It has a black-box."

"Yeah." I shrug again. "It's nothing to worry about."

"It's the most serious label-"

"Amber, It's fine."

"Okay. Just, talk to Carleigh or Lin or something." I cross my arms over my book.

"I'm sorry."

"No. It's fine. Cause your always fine."

"Yeah. I am."

"Nice scars." She mumbles, walking out the door. I look down at my feet, fighting tears. She didn't do anything wrong. She must have seen them. Plus, I have to get my scar on my wrist covered for the show. I didn't think any of them cared that I kept so much from them. I guess it could have just been my health and not my past that she wanted to know about.
