(A/N- Hamilton was not in Chicago and this point but in this story it is so deal with it)

"You're taking my child!" I hear Lin say from the other room, dramatically.
"Lin." Andy says, laughing. "I'm taking your adult. For two days. She needs some time away from here and I need an assistant." Lin sighs.
"I know. She's probably so sick of us all. I have to let her go."
"I'll make sure she's safe."
"Okay." I zip up my bag and grab my phone off the desk before sliding my feet into my sneakers and pulling them up.
"Hey." Andy says when I walk out. It's morning and I'm still tired but I took some sleeping pills last night so I got enough sleep. I need it. "Ready to go?"
"Yep. Bye Lin." Lin gives me a quick hug and tells me to have fun and call him or anyone if I need them. I roll my eyes but thank him.
Andy explains the next two days to me in the cab and I nod, listening to it.
"Amber said you can stay with her."
"Amber?"
"Yeah. Since the class ends at six and I thought it would be better for you to stay with a person than in a hotel." I nod knowing that this was Lin's doing. "So you'll meet some of the Chicago cast."
"Cool." I entertain myself by listening to music and doing schoolwork on the computer.
"Have you ever left New York?" He asks when he meets me at the gate since our seats were separate. I nod. I have a few times but either for small shows or to accompany a family.
"You're so quiet." He observes a while later. I laugh.
"Yeah, I can be." He passes me a water. "Thanks." We head to the convention center and I follow him up the escalator to the room we're in and we go sit down with the other assistants and people who are eating lunch. I take out my sandwich from the store we stopped by on the way here and join them on the floor.
"So you're in Hamilton?" One of them asks after they've introduced themselves and talked a little while.
"Was."
"Oh. Are you in another show now?"
"No. Not currently."
"Oh, so what do you do?"
"Well, right now I'm staying with someone else so I'm just teaching the little ones at my old studio and working at my old company."
"You are?" I turn around to see that Andy has returned from the restroom.
"Um, yeah. Here and there."
"What do you do there?"
"I was doing the choreography for a show."
"You didn't mention that." I shrug and return to eating my sandwich. The class is fun and there's a lot of kids here. I demonstrate up front which is fun and I get to see a lot of talented young dancers. The class is long but enjoyable. We're done around six like he said we would be.
I'm a little nervous to meet some of the Chicago cast but I'm always nervous to meet people. I look around the city, admiring, despite the fact that I'm fucking freezing. I would be in New York too because it's just a cold day, but it's a little colder here. Even though it's supposed to be getting warmer. He brings me to an apartment.
A girl with long brunette hair answers with a smile.
"Hi. I'm Amber."
"Kelsey." I say, shaking her hand. She and Andy greet each other before he leaves to work and she brings me inside.
"Nice place."
"Thanks. You can put your bag down right there if you want." I do so as she tells me, "I got an email from Lin yesterday. He told me to introduce you to my friends from the cast, make sure you take your medicine and eat."
"He thinks I'm a little kid." She chuckles.
"He's looking out for you."
"I know."
"So what musicals have you done?" She asks as we move to sit at the counter.
"This is my first Broadway one. I did some with a company."
"Which ones?"
"Chicago, On your feet, a chorus line, and some others and original pieces. Never any for very long. What about you?" My response to her answer is just shock. "So when did you have time to do that all and learn that all?" I say. She laughs. "You traveled a lot."
"You seem generally quiet but I'm glad to know you do speak. At first I thought that you wouldn't." She says, being interrupted by a knock. "Come with me." I stand up and follow her to the door.
"Amber!" Someone calls just as she twists the nob. Two girls stand on the other side of it. Luckily closer to my height.
"Sam this is Kelsey, Kelsey this is Sam, Justice this is Kelsey, Kelsey this is Justice."
"Hi." I say meekly, waving.
"Awe." The blond one, Sam, says. She looks at Justice. "She's still older than you."
"How?" Justice says.
"Well, Sam knows this but Justice, Kelsey is staying here while she is here with Andy to assist some classes and escape New York."
"Escape?"
"Don't ask." I say. She nods.
"How did you meet Andy?" She asks.
"I was in Hamilton for a while."
"Oh, really? What part?"
"Ensemble."
"Oh, awesome! We're in the ensemble here."
"Why don't we go to dinner?" Sam asks. "So we can talk not standing in a door."
"Okay. Let me grab my phone and grab anything you need, Kelsey." Amber says, heading back to the counter. I don't need anything else because my wallet is in my coat pocket and my phone is in my hand so I step out into the hall.
"I'm using your bathroom!" Justice says to Amber.
"Okay." She says back. I look at Sam.
"You have the space buns, right?"
"That's me. Cornrows?"
"Yeah. Can you tell by this side of my hair that I've just killed." She laughs.
"I like it. But yeah, it must damage it when it's only three braids and every night." I shrug. "It looks fine though." We basically talk about hair the whole way there. Amber and Justice explains their hair styles in the show and Samantha or Peanut, her nickname is, has a wig.
"I just loosely curled the rest of it." I say when they ask me. "There's one strand that always fell in my face." They laugh as we take a turn into a restaurant. We get seated and I just skim the menu, deciding I'll just get a salad before I even get to the second half of the front of it.
