Let me tell you about the land,
where Once-Upon-A-Time's take place.
There are mountains, jungles, rivers, sand -
they call it ChildhoodDaize.
It's where little girls set out on quests,
with fairfolk and brothers.
They fight hard - do their very best!
And emerge from the battle in glory.
Anyone will risk their lives.
Climb beanstalks, storm castles,
fight giants and dragons thrice their size.
Right and wrong - is black and white.
Listen to their battle cry:
For king, country, and true love!
No other payment due,
Than for the stars to keep shining in heaven above.
I used to live there all the time,
but then I moved away.
Away from where frog princes and the Jabberwock roam.
But I swore I'd come back someday.
And I tried to come back,
but it was gone!
Where light had been it was black,
and where land had been there was sea.
Tell me what has swallowed up,
my beautiful ChildhoodDaize?
What terrible monster could destroy it,
what all-consuming fire, trap it in it's blaze?
Did it become Atlantis,
sinking beneath the waves?
I waited for it to rise up again,
but nothing met my gaze.
I wanted thunder to crash and rumble,
while I sank to my knees to mourn.
But the world was still and heaven silent,
in answer to my silent storm.
Can I find it in my kid brother's eyes?
Oh please tell me the way!
I've got to get there before I die,
I've got to find ChildhoodDaize.
