Roses are red,
that much is true.

Roses are beautiful
but with such affair.
They bloom and they boom everywhere!
So loud and so proud,
the ladybugs they scare.
The violet's beauty is quiet,
and a shout is rare.
But when they do,

just to remind you that they're there.
Yes they can be shy,
but friendly too.
And out your window in the spring,
they make a wonderful view.
Just lay in the grass,
with violets all around,
look up at the sky,
and you will clearly see.
That the violet is the best
other flowers could ever hope to be!
