Can I Tell You About the Dream I Had?

I saw the light fade out

of my sister's eyes,

watched her killer kneel

down and cry,

like watching my own

life die.

You don't know who I am,

and I don't know who you are,

but if I could wish

upon a shooting star,

I'd wish for every day

to be just like the one before -

I saw the light fade out

of my sister's eyes,

watched her killer kneel

down and cry,

asked for one more day

to say goodbye.

I sang her a song

as she bled to death,

and wished the ground

were her baby bed,

and that sleep was all it every really was.

And the whiskey actually gave me a buzz.
