Tags start because people make them up, right? So I just made up a tag for high fantasy authors.

Rules: None, really. Just answer all questions that apply. Feel free to add any of your own that you think of!

1. How long since you invented your world?

About six years, I guess. Though it looked different back then. :D

2. What sort of magic, if any, does it boast?

Legea doesn't have anything technically called magic. On the other hand, it has a variety of unique creatures: the thindran, the dragons, talking birds and rats, and those who live undying, to name a few; as well as men who are seers, dreamers, evil sensers, and even mind controllers. Not that such people are common in the least.

3. Have you invented a language for your world?

Yes indeed-y! Several. They're still growing, of course, but all languages do. :)

4. What is the longest excerpt you've written in your language? Provide a translation if you wish.

It would most likely be this.

And no, I'm not giving a translation, because that would be giving away important plot information for a later Legea book. But you can know that it is Enedhwinian, it is poetry, and it sounds very pretty read aloud. (It is also very hard to read aloud. I have tried. But it is pretty.)

5. What time period does your world most closely resemble?

It's a fairly constant counterpart for the early medieval era.

6. Did it take you a long time to fix on this period?

YES. Yes'm. At least three years. Can you believe that at one point I thought we'd have telephones in Legea?

7. How good are you at killing off a decent number of characters?

Bad. F. Epic fail. Okay, I'm getting better. But I was SUPPOSED to make a character die in the final book for the series and it HURT SO MUCH because I'd seen him grow up from childhood, literally, and there was so much of his life ahead of him, and... and I couldn't do it.

Maybe I will. That's still four books in the future.

8. List several of your favourite characters and why.

A. Fred (The Journey, The Village). Who could not? Ack, he's Fred. And, he's just a peasant. Nothin' special. But he's my Fred.

B. Mordred (The Village). Also a simple peasant... at least on the surface. He is also handsome and witty and reckless and my dear silly boy.

C. Holwena (Flare in the Darkness). It's complicated how exactly, but in a way she is based off me and I relate to her deeply. Oddly enough, her personality doesn't much resemble mine.

Okay, now I tag the people I know of who can do this tag! If I didn't remember you, do it anyway. And please don't kill me. 'Twould be most un-appreciated.
