So, some of you may have noticed my... er... crazed message on my feed just now. Well, it's true. I often get seized by brilliant story ideas, but rarely with the force and clarity that happened last night.
I've got something new in the works, and... once I actually figure out the plot... and title... it's coming to Wattpad!
For now, I'll let slip a few facts to tease you all XD
^ It is set in Legea. Yes, I have TONS of story ideas that fall outside my high fantasy world, but I just can't pursue them right now. Someday, when my ears are grey.
^ It will be written in first person. Third person, as I'm sure you've all seen, is my default, but this particular story and setting lend themselves well to a first-person account.
Do not confuse 1st person with present tense. I am not at all accustomed to writing in present.
^ It will have two parts, the first told from the MC girl's point of view, the second from her brother's (whose name I haven't gotten yet, but it starts with R) (what is wrong with my brain)
^ The setting is Arahad. And I am SO sorry I can't give you guys a picture of the map of Legea right now, but I can't find the stupid pics in the excessive number of folders on my computer. To see Arahad, you can go back to the chapter called "Map Pictures" and see if you can find it there. Basically, it's due south of Orden which is on the east side of Legea, and it's further south than most of the other countries except Havis on the west.
Arahad means "sand" or "desert", referring to the early Arahad, which included only the deserty north-eastern areas far from the coastline. Since that time, however, Arahad has expanded to cover the mountains north of the desert (not added in the map pictures, sorry) as well as the entire Zagha Isthmus.
They deal largely in trade with other countries. As a nation they are known for being cautious, unwilling to embroil themselves in any potentially dangerous situation. For this reason they stay out of making alliances as a rule, and at the same time manage to stay on good terms with most other nations because their trade is valued. Furthermore, they are known to be excellent fighters, having an impressive navy and a well-trained army.
^ No more info getting dropped at this time. Go be patient.
