LeeanMor4 tagged me in a tag that has some original questions, for once.

Still... it's so fun to invite characters along for the ride! So while I will answer the questions this time, I'm going to drag the NON-modernAU versions of Mordred and Jedediah Crayes, and a third special guest out of the story into the present world.

Mordred: *lips thin* I'm not in the mood for answering questions.

Jedediah Crayes: Buck up, boy. Neither am I, but do you see me complaining about it?

Mordred: *is silent*

*apologizes to readers while hiding the apology from Mordred's awareness* He's recovering from some nasty injuries, nursing a biting hatred, and generally wearing himself out.

Anyway. First question: Last book you finished reading? For myself, that's easy. The last book I finished reading in its entirety was my reread of The Silmarillion. I also paged through North! Or Be Eaten, second book in the Wingfeather Saga, this afternoon, but I didn't really read it. You two?

Mordred: I haven't read a book since I escaped from the orphanage.

Not checked out the castle library?

Mordred: *shrugs* The main point is, I don't remember.

All right, if you insist. What's a book you remember reading?

Mordred: Tales of the First Era.

*encouragingly* And... what were some of the tales of the First Era?

Mordred: *shrugs again* Of Galdeol and Thorgan; of the Fathers of Men; of Besor and Aorath and the Sorceress of the Sun. Oh... and the fall of the Horhintor. *thoughtfully* It is grievous, how they fell.

Jedediah Crayes: That it is. Now they're just poor fools who have spent so much time looking for darkened wisdom that they lost the wisdom they had at first. *recollects self* Where's this guest you said would join us? I don't see anyone else.

He's late. Why don't you tell us the last book you read?

Jedediah Crayes: *waves dismissively* Something on the relationships of wild dragons to men across the First and Second Eras. Quite fascinating overall, if a little pedantic at times. The man knew his stuff.

Ah, here's our third party! King Ahearn, will you join us?

Ahearn: *glances at Mordred* *jerks off crown and sits nervously on the furthest chair*

What's the last book you read, Ahearn?

Ahearn: Er, probably tax records or something of the sort. *shifts* *opens mouth*

Is there something you wanted to say?

Ahearn: I wasn't told Mordred would be here.

Oh, come on. I'm not obliged to give you the roll of all the attendees when I ask you to come somewhere. Say hello to your brother, and you both behave yourselves.

Jedediah Crayes: *sits back grinning* This should be interesting.

Mordred: *avoids looking at Ahearn*

Now, the next item on the agenda is, describe yourself in one sentence.

Jedediah Crayes: Since you seem to know us all so well, why don't you describe us?
