Despite my propensity to write romance now and again... yes, I'm single. Tagged by dream-is-reality
1. Have you had a boyfriend before now?
Nope! I would feel weird if I had. Until I'm ready for marriage, I don't think I'm ready for dating/courtship/whatever.
2. Are you more of a romantic type or more of a tomboy?
That one's easy. I have never been a tomboy. In fact, although some of the books I read when I was younger conditioned me to love the stereotype of the "strong independent girl" -- I still wasn't a tomboy. I like my life safe with lots of boundaries and securities, and I don't like hedging rules or doing crazy things. I always hoped to get married someday and I love the thought of a guy who will do sweet romantic things with me.
4. Do you want to be in a relationship right now or are you satisfied with being single?
I'm getting to the point where I can realistically see myself in a relationship, and enjoying it. But right now, I'm perfectly satisfied with my life. I have my family, I have friends (of both sexes) and I don't need a young male complement to be happy.
5. Do you have a crush? If so, what color is his hair?
That is such a nosy question. No, in fact, though I'd say a couple fictional characters except I know what's coming next...
6. In love with a fictional character?
That's a bit strong of a phrase for it. I agree with Jenny, who when she loves a character strongly "it usually just means I love the way this character was written, and I love their complexity"
The best characters tear at my heart. If they're men... well, it's easy to concede that you have a minor crush on them. XD Unless, you see, they're already paired off, in which case I am all for them STAYING WITH THEIR SWEET PARTNER.
Examples of the former: Boromir
Examples of the latter: Caledorn, Amarth, Sedgewick Alverdyne (huh, those were all from Wattpad books...)
7. Do you know if anyone likes you?
I should hope they do!
If they don't, they're doing a pretty good job of hiding it!
It would be pretty terrible to live in a world where nobody liked me!
*feigns comprehension* OHHHHHHHHH... you mean LIKEY LIKEY!
Good grief, how would I know? Let's get this straight, the society I move in (i.e., my church family) is one where interaction is cheerful and platonic all across the board, and nobody is encouraged to start viewing their friends differently just because they hit the teenage years. I know some super-nice young men. I could even see being in a relationship with any of them. But none of them so far are treating me any differently than they do my eleven-year-old brother.
8. Is your crush on Wattpad?
This question assumes the a priori that I have a crush...
Again, going with Jenny's choice, if you're single and you wanna do it, you're tagged.
