Basically we pretended that our property was a town called Rosewood and invented names for ourselves, and tried to be very official about everything. Most of what you're about to read deals with traffic problems related to bikes. XD

Notes on Public Meetings

the civilians of Rosewood

Noted, that on the day May 30, 2013, at approximately 10:20 a.m., citizens of Rosewood gathered to discuss sundry items and problems in the town.
Noted, that M. Claeson and V. Ayreson both moved to discuss the problem of the steep hill converging with the road at the turnabout*.
Noted, that V. Ayreson wished to re-cover the rules of riding on the grass, which are -- no riding on the grass after there has been no rain for a week, and no riding on the grass for several days after mowing.
Noted, that M. Claeson, chairman, and V. Ayreson, secretary, brought forth methods for suppressing the aforesaid problem, which were approved by all present (N.B. Jake Hensler, reporter, was absent).
Noted, that Chairman M. Claeson moved to discuss a more efficient method of calling people to meetings, and brought up an idea for a better meeting spot -- which was, at the picnic table -- which was approved by all present (N.B. J. Hensley had been found).
Noted, that all present walked to the picnic table and seated themselves to continue the meeting.
Noted, that V. Ayreson, secretary, brought forth an appropriate method of calling people to meetings, which was agreed on by all.
Noted, that Chairman M. Claeson moved that there should be a speed limit for all roads except those in the woods*. B. Buchanan protested, but was outvoted. M. Claeson also moved that there be no passing at the turnabout.
Noted, that the meeting parted in general good humour on all sides.

*The turnabout is a place on our (long) driveway where the hill on one side is leveled out for a little and the bank shored up by a rock wall. After that the driveway goes very steeply down to the main road, so when we rode our bikes on the driveway that was the spot where we "turned about".
*We used to make little paths in the woods by raking the dead leaves away. Rode bikes into the woods all day long. Fun times.

Ahhhhh... probably Middle Earth. Númenor crashed, and the Undying Lands have all those elves(nothing wrong with elves, but I'm mortal and that's just a sad fact)
