GUYS

GUYS I'VE BEEN KEEPING THIS IN SO LONG AND FINALLY I CAN TELL YOU

I just...

Guys.

The Journey is getting published.

One month ago, on August 30, I submitted the manuscript to a small press. It's a Christian-based firm that publishes a variety of genres, and has been in the running for 30+ years(old in the world of indie presses). The following Tuesday, they contacted me. They had a publishing interest.

The succeeding ten days were filled with a lot of prayer, a lot of family discussion, and a lot of emails. Then the contract signed. Then I was hurled headfirst into a mash of Adulting – trying to manage a W-9, a cashier check, professional photographs(with my ABSOLUTELY LIFESAVING FRIEND), a monstrous marketing questionnaire, Instagram, and book acknowledgments – and all the time sitting on my hands, biting my tongue, going crazy with excitement and not able to breathe to social media a word until Ambassador International gave me the go-ahead.

Now it's out. And I've weathered the first blast of handling so many things at once, and being terrified that I wouldn't be able to handle it, and I am SO EXCITED.

I'm eighteen years old. Just out of high school. And I'm getting published.

I'm so grateful for God's timing. Two years ago, or even one year ago, I wasn't ready for this. A year from now, I might have been in college, too busy to even think about all I'm dealing with now. And I wouldn't have had two years of sharing these stories with you all in this wonderful, interactive way.

Because... yes, I've been requested to remove all works that I want to query Ambassador with in the future from this site. This means that the Ceristen Series is coming down, all except for one or two "teaser" chapters like I did with The Journey. However, A Cold Cry, Flare in the Darkness, and Swirls of Sand are remaining up for the foreseeable future!

As for Sorrow and Song, my correspondent suggested that I adopt the policy of removing all chapters but the most recent one, and with every new chapter revert the old one to draft form.

The only drawback to this system is that you can't reread older chapters, and people who haven't started yet won't be able to do so. I'm sad about that, but it's so much more than I hoped for... and anyway, it's only a matter of years before they come out on bookshelves, right? ;) XD Right now, I feel like I could be okay with anything.

My heart is overflowing with gratitude and joy.

Praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord that he has prepared a way for me to share my words with the world.
