Kids At Heart

M: *video calls R*

R: *answers call* Hello, Love. *waves at M and smiles as he glances at his phone in its holder on the dashboard* Anong oras tayo uwi ng Bulacan? Dadaan muna sana ako sa hospital. Kaya pa ba?

M: Ah oo nga pala. Sige lang, Love. Punta ka na muna dun. Please send my regards and prayers na din. *smiles* Ingat sa pagda-drive ha?

R: Sure, Love. Siyempre mag-iingat ako. May magandang misis pa akong naghihintay sa pag-uwi ko. *grins* Thank you.

M: Bolero ka talaga. *giggles* Oo nga pala, di na natin kailangang umuwi ng Bulacan today.

R: Huh? Bakit? Sabi mo gusto mong umuwi doon ngayon.

M: Oo nga. Kaso... Look who's here. *focuses her phone camera at the giggling Matti who is running towards her*

R: Aaargh! Mattiiiiii!!! Nakakagigil talaga! Sobrang cute! *pinches the air in front of his phone screen*

M: O kalma... Nagda-drive ka po. Mamaya mo na panggigilan pag-uwi. *laughs* Matti... Come here. Sino yan? *shows her phone to Matti*

Matti: *runs to M, looks at the phone and grins with his little nose wrinkling and his eyes reducing to slits* Aw-den

R: *laughs and waves at the baby* Matti... Matti... Pangit face dali... *makes a wacky face which prompts Matti to do the same, laughs heartily* Grabe! Sobrang aaargh! Gigil!

M: *giggles* Kalmahan mo lang, Love baka mapudpod na yang ngipin mo kakagigil. Mamaya na kayo mag-play ha? Pakainin ko muna siya. Ikaw naman ingat sa pag-drive. See you later.

R: See you, Love. See you, Matti. Hanggang anong oras siya diyan?

M: Hmmm... Dito sa atin hanggang makauwi sina Ate Niks. Tapos mamaya dun sila matutulog sa taas kasama si Dean.

R: Pwede bang sa atin na lang matulog si Matti?

M: May gatas ka ba? Padededein mo? Ako kasi wala. *places a hand under and lifts her breasts one at a time*

R: Ay oo nga pala. *laughs* Di bale malapit na yang magkaroon.

M: Huy! *laughs* Next year. Excited?

R: Sobra. Uwi na ako. Gawa na tayo.

M: Sira. Di pwede. Magmaneho ka na nga lang diyan. See you later, Pa. I love you.

R: I love you more, Ma.

M: Matti, say Bye Alden. *waves at the camera*

Matti: *grins, waves* Bye... Aw-den

M: Say "uwi"

Matti: Wi!

R: *laughs* Opo. Uuwi ako agad. Bye, Matti. *waves, blows a kiss to his phone screen, ends call*

R: *arrives at home a few hours later, bearing takeouts for dinner and chocolates for Matti, he cheerfully enters their condo unit, expecting M and Matti to come running and to greet him but the place seems quiet* Love? *walks inside and looks around but they are not in the living room, dining area or kitchen* Umakyat na kaya sila? *sighs and decides to change his clothes first before going to M's old unit, leaves the bag he is carrying on the table and walks to the bedroom which is also empty* Umakyat na nga. *sighs and goes to the walk in closet with its door partly ajar and is surprised at what he sees, smiles* Ang cute! *takes out his phone, snaps a photo*

M: *fast asleep, groans softly as she pulls Matti who is sleeping in her arms closer to her*

R: *chuckles as he notes how adorable the two look sleeping face to face on the carpeted floor with their lips in little pouts and their expressions almost similar, by the look of their 10x15 feet shared closet, M and Matti must have played with building blocks which are scattered all over the floor while watching Pocoyo which is still playing on M's laptop and snacking on some microwaved popcorn, a bowl of which lay in front of the full body mirror beside M, Matti must have felt sleepy but refused to go outside so M decided to put him to sleep inside the closet and eventually dozed off herself*
