English Title: A Letter From Paris

September 3, 2017, Paris:

Ma cheri et Ma belle Nicomaine,

Bonjour! Comment allez-vous?

Naks! Two days in Paris pero ang lakas na maka-French ano? Galing di ba? Ginoogle ko yan. Hehehe...

To save you the trouble, let me translate. I greeted you with My Dear and Beautiful Nicomaine. Totoo yun. Gusto ko pa sana ng mas maraming magagandang adjectives in French na pwedeng mag-describe sa'yo kaya lang baka sukuan ako ni Google sa sobrang dami. Sabi ko din na Hello (Bonjour) and How are you (Comment allez-vous). Yun. Kala mo kahirap ng sinabi. Hahaha...

Haaay... I'm happy to be in Paris. Who would have thought na yung mestisong kontesero ng Baranggay Dila noon, nandito na ngayon. Ang ganda dito, Love, sobrang ganda. Sayang talaga kasi hindi ka talaga pwede. Sana dalawa tayong nag-eexplore dito.

We could have both experienced the city's beauty, elegance and romance. Right now, although I appreciate the Parisian glamour and charm, I don't really feel it to my bones. Although I'm here, walking its streets, sitting on its benches and cafes, standing before the magnificent Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe, listening to its sounds and breathing its air, I don't feel like I'm really in it. I feel like looking at it through a window, watching the city and capturing it for you.

Pero okay lang, I believe someday, we'll have the whole world to experience and that someday we'll find ourselves back here in Paris.

I wish someday to hold your hand as we walk this streets together, to kiss your cheek as we take a selfie in front of the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe, to whisper in your ear as we appreciate the arts in The Louvre, to stare into your eyes as we toast and sip wine in Disneyland (Yes. They have wine there!), to tuck your hair behind your ear before we close our eyes and pray at the Sacre-Couer, to let my hand settle at the small of your back when we shop at the Champs-Elysées, to hug you from the back and nuzzle on your neck as we watch the City Of Lights from our hotel room. Someday, mon amour, someday.

The newlyweds thank you for the message you sent. I am blessed to witness the wedding. I wish you were there with me to witness the magical moment when two people who despite all the criticism, challenges and people who try to tear them apart, held on to each and proved to everyone that love wins. Always.

It was a lovely ceremony and the reception was grand. I dream to someday have the privilege of showing my beautiful wife to the world, walking down the aisle in a beautiful white gown towards me, exchanging vows and rings with me, in a celebration like that, maybe not as lavish but just as magical. Someday, my love, we can finally share our love to the world.

In my short stay here in Paris, I realized two things. One, there is never a moment that I did not think of you and two, there is no place I'd rather be than beside you. Here, thousands of miles away, my heart, my mind and soul are with you.

Tu me manques. Je t'aime tellement.

I'm sure hindi na natin kailangan ng Google diyan.

See you soon, Mrs. Faulkerson, my Nicomaine, my queen, my life.

Yours always and forever,
RJ
